Basically, it's a drinking game, but you reveal something embarassing, little known or scandalous about your past by saying "I never _____________", even though you really did do that. And then anyone who has also done that takes a drink.

Anyone up for an R&S version?

Some religious people (not all, of course) assume that because a person has a tattoo, is pierced, listens to death metal or wears all black that they are evil. This happens with young religious types against others all the time--even in this day and age. Why are these people being taught that how a person looks or what music they listen to shows who they are spiritually?

My little brother is a metalhead, and also a devout Christian. People of his church shun him simply based on looks--they do not take a few minutes to simply talk to him and see that he is a great person on the inside.

It also goes the other way--if someone around here dresses according ot their faith, they must be good. My father did that and looked like an amazingly kind person. He went to church every day and was a devout follower of Catholic faith. He was also a horrible person--he lied, cheated people out of their money, and did dozens of other things. Yet some people would trust him over my brother.

4th-"Remember the Sabbath Day and keep it Holy"

I used to be a Baptist, but got fed up with the 10 Commandment retoric and the leaving out of the 4th one. When asked I would be told "We are under Grace not Law, no need to follow old number 4, but you have to keep those others or go to HELL." Why leave out the 4th? It is b/c it is inconvienent? A part of Satan's plan? And no, I don't believe we have lost track of time and Sunday is really the seventh day or Jesus decreed that we change.

I would like to know how many people here believe that Jesus is the actual son of God. AS a Christian I can tell you threw my life experiences that yes I do believe God sent Jesus to earth born from Mary and taught people. Jesus taught for many years. Then the time came where Jesus was told by God that he must die for the sins of humanity to save them. He did. Then lightining and a big storm came and covered the earth. He rised into heaven. I believe Jesus came back to earth afterwards and that his spirit lingers and protects believers. This is where we get the Trinity in our belief system. The father, the son, and the Holy Spirit. I wold like to here any inputs please and I do politely ask no criticisms please. Thank You

The five great provisions that are provided because of Jesus which revealed through the Word of God:
- we are redeemed
- we are forgiven
- we are cleansed
- we are justified (made righteous)
- we are sanctified (made holy)
these provisionsonly become fully effective in our lives when we testify to them personally. We must be bold enough to state our convictions.<><

I am a christian, I have Jesus. I was just curious to see how many people would answer this question. If so please tell me what happened where you rejected, hurt, laughed at, etc. And i would also like to say whatever your experience was, please do not let this experience keep you from finding the love of Jesus Christ. For a long time i thought churchs where fake because of certain experiences that i had with a church i was in. Just remember they are not all the same like i once thought.
The love of Jesus is out there I found it and I know that you can find it too.

When you become Christian, your whole life changes. Like the song says "I'm not who I was...."

You probably, started feeling a conviction towards certain music, clubs, addictions, and even friends. Did your non Christian friends understand? or Did the friendship slowly fade?

Did they only love you for who you were?

Definitely. Few days ago I was reading answers from this question to do with JW's and 1 answerer gave few links to go to about the JW's. It wasn't the Watchtower link. So, since I am NOT a JW of course I am curious and so did surf those websites. LearnabouttheOne is saying you all don't go and check it out? Well FYI those website's that are being posted are from people (almost all!) that claim that they was a member. Some of them say they held high position in a governing body. Some of them are seers or leaders somewhat like that (you know what I mean). I won't mention what they say for I am not to judge you because I don't go to your church and I don't socialize with you all. I will tell you though that what they do say on their website is very ugly and sinful. Why you don't go and investigate is beyond me. How will you defend yourselves if you are not guilty. I did not answer LearnabouttheOne question because she said strictly for you members. Just showing my respect.

Please save the free will speech, it cant be applied here. Why? because God is making the choice to create an atheist, the atheist isn't making the choice because God has prior knowledge of them becoming one in the first place.

Some have said that, so is it safe to say that religion is all in the mind, I mean after all if you don't believe something it does not exist to the non-believer but to the believer it does exist whos right whose wrong

We seem to be having a much better time here in R&S lately, i wouldn't say perfect, still people seem to be getting along far better than some weeks ago (or some months ago, time during wich i developed my sad addiction to this stuff). There are less fights, less ofenses etc. Does anyone else sees it? why do you think that is?
