There is a perfect God, so instead of looking for a religion, look for a relationship with the Creator. Just find a quiet place and ask for guidance; then listen with an open mind and spirit for the answer.

Hi,
The only "perfect" religion is YOU.
To the best of my knowledge, no religion is without it's fanatics.
Best that you form your own religious "ideals" and how you should live your life. Not let others tell you (though you may choose to use what others say to form your own "ideals").
I personally follow the way of the spirit which is called "Christ". I AM NOT a "Christian" however, there is often a large difference.
Organized religion? There is "Good" in all religions which serve the one "God" of All. However, there is often not only "Good".
The Torah (old testament) and New Testament are filled with a wealth of information. However, I look at the "commandments" of God (always these are quoted as "commands", in other words, "be fruitful and multiply is NOT a commandment. "Do not kill" is one.
You see?
Humankind will often shy away from the commandments and the words of Christ. Making excuses for himself and claiming that God did or did not mean this or that. Where you find conflict in this Bible, go to the Source. What did God command and what did Jesus say?
Also, the patriarch "Moses" nor his high priest "Aaron" were allowed to deliver the people into the promised land. They consistently changed the commandments of God to appease the will of the people. Hence, "Do not kill" became changed to "Stone the prostitute in the town square" and such. Be careful in there. lol
By the way, you will find that David (who slew Goliath), God's favorite, was NOT allowed to enter the Kingdom. Because, "you have warred and have blood upon your hands".
You See? "Do not kill" means exactly what it says. The Word of God is not confused but humankind confuses the Word. Some claim that every word of the Bible is the Word of God. Even Jesus will tell us that this is untrue (in the old testament or "Torah").
Follow your heart and let your mind learn from your heart.
Remember always: "Evil" is nothing more nor less than "Good which is used for selfish/destructive purpose".
Loveya,
Dak

It's not about a religion. It's about a relationship with Christ. Just start reading your Bible and talking to the Lord just the way you talk to anyone else. He will be your best friend and He will lead you to the people you need to fellowship with and have accountability with. Pray for the infilling of the Holy Spirit so that you can be in His presence all the time. There is no perfect religion because no man is perfect--but there is a relationship with your heavenly Father who created you with a wonderful plan for your life.

I am not going to get a lot of fans with this answer. Religions all have there own agendas and belief systems. They are in it for something, and they may not even realize it. Religion is for people who need something to believe in and give them hope to explain all the awful things in there lives. I believe that the perfect religion is the one where you believe and practice what you think is right, if you are lucky enough to share similar beliefs with a religion, then pick that one. Religion is personal and only you can decide.

Well God himself is perfect. But the practice of religion is an invention of humanity, and humanity is flawed. So there is no "perfect" religion as long as humans are in charge of it. The only thing one can do is work on their personal relationship with God and cultivate relationships with other people to encourage you along the way.

To answer this question ask yourself how to tell the true religion? There are five things to look for.
1.) The religion that believes God's word is the truth, all of it, not just parts of it. They also use the Bible, read it, respect it and study it. And most of all - obey it.
2.) They see God's kingdom as the ONLY solution to the problem of the world. Man has proved that he can't rule himself.
3.) God's true followers are not part of this world. Yes, they live in it, but they do not take part in it's traditions. And Jesus said that they would be hated just as he was hated, and persecuted just as he was. The people of the true religion won't allow the world to squeeze them into the mold of worldly trends.
4.) The true religion will be known by God's true name - Jehovah. The original texts of the Bible had God's name in it over 7,000 times. It has been removed by superstitious men.
5.) Love among themselves - God's foremost attribute is LOVE. This attribute is also found in the true religion. It unites God's people. The Bible says that by their fruits they will be known. They follow Jesus footsteps closely, that's includes following his commands in their lives. Matthew 24:14

Why does the existence of a perfect God imply the existence of a perfect religion? If anything, it implies that all religion is imperfect, and is an attempt for finite man to approach a transcendent Deity.

contentment only relies on a relationship with God and being in the center if his will.
Most religions seek their own way. God showed us His way, through His Son, Jesus Christ.
There is no "perfect" religion. There is a "perfect" relationship.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

It's the religion of whoever is the most persuasive debater in the room at the time.

Seriously, this is like asking if there's a "perfect" band or a "perfect" meal. There's a reason why you can't find a "Baskin Robins 1" at the mall.
