I am glad to see anyone happy with their beliefs and I don't give a twit what they think about mine.

Nope. My friends respect my beliefs. They put up with the praying and God stuff. I dont feel any convictions towards music, clubs, addictions or any friends.
I wasn't great before I became a Christian and I dont expect anyone else to stand up to my "standards" thats unrealistic and not from my God.
Everyone has to go through hard times to get where they need to be.

Mine actually threatened to kill me. When the drugs and alcohol were no longer a part of my life, neither were my "so called" Friends.
I have a new life and wonderful people around anytime I need them.
My family even become closer as I began showing them I was really a different man.
Blessings.

I don't think that my friends or family really treated me differently, but I do know that they think that I have gone off the deep end because I center my life on a personal relationship with God rather than on the teachings of a particular religion.

I did notice a lot of challenges from those in the family who didn't believe in the Church we chose.. It was almost like I had to defend my faith all the time. I wouldn't say friends acted any different,,we just didn't hang out in the same places anymore. My Church friends became the ones we would hang out with.
We were the first,,,athough some of them had attended Chruch at some time in their lives,,they realized they were not saved...now a lot of our family members are saved...not all though...and that is sad..and not all ended up at the same denomination...but they are in Church and are baptised, believers...

i can answer this one from the reverse perspective. my sister converted to Christianity about 4 years ago. I'm Agnostic. She's Lutheran. To be honest, we've never been closer. If you have a friend that is going to leave you because of your religious beliefs, then I would have to say they weren't mcuh of a friend to begin with

I've been a Christian since I was two-months old...so - there's nobody still alive who knew me before.
Sometimes strangers will buy me dinner or a drink because I wear a long black cassock and backwards stiff-linen collar - that is nice sometimes...
One nice man gave me an iPod. For free. Only cost me a couple hundred bucks to load it full of Gregorian Chant music.

Yes, when you get really deep into a superstition, you start breaking away from reality to more of an extent. You stop living your own life and start just following what the religion leaders program you to do. You start to fear what the leaders tell you to fear.
I've seen really devout people and they are like zombies.

I had non-Christian co-workers who started actually acting hostile toward me after I was saved. They became hyper critical of my work and I'm pretty sure that they made fun of me behind my back. Other non-Christian co-workers treated me the same.
