Dear Lord,
Please help Melissa's dad, I don't know what is happening with him but you do. Protect him and heal him and please calm Melissa's heart too.
In Jesus name
Amen

There's a more effective prayer. It's called a fasting prayer.
It's where You don't eat anything that day and then You can
pray intensely while your fasting. Also if You know a good
Pastor You may want to call on that person. He or She could
know how better to get the prayer done more effectively as
well too. But Remember God may want your Dad in heaven
soon if its his will. If it's not God's will to take his soul soon your prayers shall be granted.

Hello, Melissa:
I have asked that God strengthens you and your father will be healed.
The Bible says the prayer of a righteous person avails much, and many are praying for your father.
As you read the Bible, you will find that God is particular in what one does with their health. He gave Israel good laws and said they would have none of the diseases of Egypt if they obeyed.
Science has caught up with what God showed us four-thousand years ago, and more. Encourage your father to study nutrition, especially eating the colorful fruits and vegetables will promote health and extend life.

First of all, let me say that I am so sorry that your Dad is not well, and I will pray for him and you. Next, I am so sorry that you are getting some neg. feedback. I think people forget that we are here to try to help one another and if we aren't then we should not bother answering the question!

Your dad has all the power he needs at his fingertips. Try to clear yourself of fear and doubt and remember healing occurs everyday. Believe that your father will get well and at least he will be closer to health then if you give him worry and doubt.

Why not send him to a hospital instead of praying?
Wait I bet you already did but why would you need a hospital if you pray? Doesn't sending him to a hospital demean the power of prayer and your faith?
Seems like you aren't sure that prayer works if you use modern medical technologies.
Edit: God, I'm good.

My blessings and good wishes to your dad to get better, and to yiou for the fortitude to deal with his illness. A sick parent is very exhausting for those caring for them.
