Not all Christians are like that. Those who criticize like that are ignorant believers who do not know what it means to be a Christian. You don't really need a religion to find whatever you're seeking for (God, spirituality, enlightenment, etc.). Religion is just a guideline. It's good if you have a religion, but its not necessary. Bibles, rituals, places of worship are great, but all you need is experience. If you take the time to allow yourself to be open minded (and not be gullible at the same time) and open to the world, you can find a lot of answers. But it's hard to achieve that if you're caught up with hindrance such as materialism, false self, etc. The problem with religion is that people think they have to follow every single law there is. Those people do not know how to think for themselves. You're supposed to live how YOU think you're supposed to live not what someone says. You're capable of deciding what is right and what is wrong. Why do you think we were created with brains and the ability to reason?

I feel no need to criticize the beliefs of others.
And do you honestly think that all of the names for God refer to different beings?

OK I'm a Christian and I don't make a habit out of criticizing others beliefs, if anything I have noticed a lot of people (atheist mostly) criticizing Christianity and other religions. And as for why my God is the right God, I don't know. *shrugs* and God gave us freedom of will which includes thoughts so I guess...............

I am a Christian... this is my answer to another question;
Hey. I'm a Catholic Christian. You're absolutely right. Nobody knows. Until we pass we will never actually know who is right. That's why no one has the right to damn people to hell for not believing in God or to laugh at those who have a faith :)

Stereotypes, prejudices and generalisations are the worst thing...

I believe that Christians have serious problems with their faith, their belief in the preposterous. If they constantly chant the gospel mantra and others listen and chant, it makes it less likely that they will think and loose their faith.
It is probably why atheists promote their gospel and conditions that favor their ability to continue to think differently than the religious. Fear has a lot to do with it as well.

They do more than criticize. In many cases, they oppress. Just ask anyone gay. It's a recurring theme throughout Christian history. Anyone who dares question their beliefs is the enemy. In the past, they've burned people alive, pressed people to death under stones, drown pagans, gassed Jews, gypsies & homosexuals, imprisoned, murdered, serialized....I could go on and on. But I think you get the point. And in many parts of the world, they're still doing these things.

I don't feel that I am critical at all. No man comes to God but by Jesus [Bible]. Not Buddha, not Mohammed, not anyone else. I want everyone to know that because it is important for all of our eternity. Jesus is the only one who sacrificed His life to atone our sins. No one else.
