I have to agree.
Religion is a great contention of difference and has been and will continue to be used to justify killing of others.
Biblical History, BC History, AC History, and Current day all show proof of your statement.

Religion and violence live hand in hand. As long as those in any particular society follow the rules of the particular religion then by and large things will be fine. But history clearly points out that religion allows for only so much dissent, and then they will use violence to enforce their beliefs. After all how many people have been slaughtered for not following a particular religion,or for breaking one of their petty rules? Most religions can be peaceful when their power and control are secure, but they all seem to have teachings designed to easily justify violence when anyones ideas don't fall in line with theirs.

I had to agree with you. While the religion could control violence by 'right' and 'wrong' lists, it can caused some more fatals violence. People protecting their religion and try to change one's value caused far too many chaos. It happens a lot in my country.

I disagree with you. Religion and violence are not brothers. There are gangsters -violent people - who met God and turned over a new leaf. But there are people who have a religion and are violent. Those people have given a bad testimony of their religion and thus causing people like you to think that religion causes violence. But that is their behavior, their character they carry with them, not to fight for their religion. But in God's time, they will change.

Religion and violence aren't brothers. Humans and violence are brothers. Without religions fools would still find more excuses to be violent.

"it claims to be the voice of the oppressed of the planet" nicely it is form of real, Iraq, Chechnya, Palestine, Caucasus, etc... all very Muslim. besides, i did not end the object, I ask for forgiveness. The Qu'ran is an especially complicated e book and a great style of discover it challenging to comprehend, yet being so complicated has its reward; it is totally open to interpretation, and a great style of Muslims take distinctive issues from it. i think of the element that makes Islam a extra violent faith isn't certainly the faith, it is the lifestyle wherein it reveals itself surrounded... to place it almost immediately, women and men who're raised in very oppressed, on occasion famined cultures do tend to be extra violent. i even have self belief the project isn't the faith, it is the people. And with the help of folk I propose... the government. My 2 cents.

I seriously disagree. Christians are called to be peacemakers (Matthew 5:9). Those who claim to be Christians but justify the use of violence to promote Christianity are false Christians who are destined for hell.

i've found most wars involving religion is for it to be an excuse to cover up political will, still, many many other people do kill just for religion.
