Often certain kinds of people condem religion using paedophile priests as examples. These people are exceptions to the norm. Many, many more from all religions are good and caring peopl. With that sort of reasoning the (ex)German Chancellor Adolf Hitler could be held up as an example of all politicians and therefore politics should be banned!?

Personally I think that all paedophiles should be held up by the balls - regardless of what job they have.

Paedophile priests should be made examples of. They are in a position of authority and abusing that authority makes them 10 times worse than paedophiles who don't have that authority over the young and the venerable. It's like a doctor or a teacher coming on to a patient or student - that's not even allowed when everyone is 'grown up'.

Hang them up by the testicles - 'til they fall off....

Pedophile priests were sheltered and their actions suppressed by the Catholic Church and it's hierarchy for years and years...

When Pedophile priests are held up as an example it is not just the priest but the entire hierarchy of the catholic church and it's part in suppressing of the actions that is being held up..

Records and paper trails show that the hierarchy all the way to the Vatican knew and suppressed the information and sheltered the priests involved.. The entire Church from the priest who committed the act of pedophilia to the top ranking Vatican officials who helped suppress it are tarnished and guilty...

Which people along the chain were not involved? Yes these priests and the hierarchy that sheltered them and suppressed the information are an example of the Catholic religion and it's normal practice of surpression and secrecy..

Unfortunately there are paedophiles in all walks of life. I am probably alone in this but I think they should be given an injection. They are one curse we don't need. By the way you religious people your god made us all even paedophiles.

These people need to be thoroughly vetted and watched to me it does appear that many priests are a little odd, to be honest I think being a priest is not something a normal guy would want to do.

Not quite sure what you are getting at, but I think all Paedophiles should be castrated, end of problem, and yes men going into the priesthood do have a tendency towards deviations, that's why they join! I must add, not all of them are deviants.

The problem is not that there are paedophiles and other hypocrites preaching. The problem is that the religions deny it or try to hide them.
The biggest crime that the Catholics and other religions have committed is in shielding their abuser priests.

Can't quite follow your logic but I think it would be wrong to castrate them as I believe this would have an adverse effect on them and make them rather angry and therefor more dangerous.
Burn them on the village green I say. You could have hot dog stalls, raffles etc. and raise some money for charity at the same time.
Oops time to go, I sense an invasion of mamby pamby inverted thumbs descending on me!

It is a disgrace that pedophile priest were not prosecuted and removed to protect the children. God will deal harshly with those who helped to cover-up these crimes or stood by and did nothing. All are accomplices and deserve severe punishment and God will do Justice in these cases if men will not.

No they shouldn't, they should be held accountable for their own actions, this is an abuse of power, and Adolf Hitler is a prime example!
