Terrific Question!
Paganism actually encompasses a lot of different but mutually accepting paths. Wicca is just one. A pagan is more or less a person who loves and respects Mother Earth and takes care of Her. There are lots of great web sites, if you just google pagan, you will find some great information. Under the umbrella of paganism there is Wicca, also shamanism, and Witchcraft, which overlaps Wicca in some areas but is definitely not the same thing. I'm a pagan Witch but not a Wiccan, because I don't "believe" in deities so much as I "believe" in what is real, Earth,Air,Fire, and Water. Also, many pagans aren't necessarily spiritual and could be considered agnostic or atheist. The only thing that I have found is not really acceptable to a true pagan is the notion, professed by Christianity, that one spiritual path is the ONE AND ONLY true path. Such a claim is very non-pagan.
Other than that, I would do a little research and see what a good web site can tell you, try pagan.com and try witchvox.com. Both are great. And for the record, I will NEVER say find Jesus to you or anyone!!!!
Bright Blessings on your spiritual journey!!!

I think you should just take some time off from being ANY religion or spirituality except what you know to be true for you in your very core of your soul, whether that may just mean being kind to others even. While you're taking time off, you can just say that you're "spiritual, not religious" and most people understand that and accept it.
Then if you really still want to find a religious or spiritual box to fit into, go and learn the basic beliefs of all of the religions that you can, and see if any speak to your soul. Your local library should have a good selection on most of the religions and spiritual paths in the world.

I won't bash you. Instead of trying to fit the mold of any given, handy, religion... what do you believe in? YOU--not the neighbor, the family, or the guy who sells you meat. Do you believe that there's an energy source that we're all a part of? Or perhaps that there's no God or creator at all? Define your beliefs for yourself, then search for the religion that matches.
Or, of course, become spiritual without an established religion. Many others have chosen this path.
[Edit] Not that it has anything to do with this particular question--this is just a rant: I just got a violation notice for telling a fundie to use the search function! I guess we really ARE forced to create drinking games while Yahoo wastes their bandwidth on questions that have already been answered a billion times!

If you're still in any way open to Christian churches, I would like to suggest the Greek Orthodox Church. While they are quite definitely Christian, they have a very mystical view of our faith, and an approach to worship that is very sensory when compared to most other denominations. And they have a rich tradition that is in some ways quite different from the western churches, and it might seem fresh and different for you. Hey, it's worth a try.

You know, you dont HAVE to have a religion. Im kind of a floater. I am mostly a Celtic witch, but I believe allot of different things from allot of different religions. You can just research different religions and try them out for a while if you feel like you absolutly must have a religion. i think that would be the best thing for you to do. that way you can really find out what you want to proclaim yourself as. But dont just say im this, and not know what it is (im not trying to accuse you of anything, really im not).... Hope that helped a little... ;)

Do you really need to have a religion? Religious dogmas function to moderate and regulate human behavior by setting a framework for making descions (what would jesus do etc.) In the absence of religious dogmas, we use reason to inform our descion making. Everyone is capable of making rational descions if we disqualify impulses.

i was completly in your position. im trying to stay with the wicca thing though, but without the magic because thats just too much for me lol. the thing is though, if you know what you believe, then do that and dont worry so much on having to put a name on what you are.

wow, i definately sort of understand how you feel. i personally feel like i don't want to be "pushed" of shoved into christianity, i would like to find my way into it you know? i'd rather not just begin reading the bible i can't do things that way. i definately respect all religions and i am so interested in each of them, i'm passionate about learning them. I guess all I can really say is maybe just research, read up and see how you feel about each one and see what really "fits" you.

You might find the Belief-O-Matic quiz over at Beliefnet.com helpful:
http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html
It's fun, and it matches you up with a wide variety of religions and philosophies based on your answers, with write-ups for each one. The results can be very surprising.
