if apples are people and the barrel is the world and its situations, which would u say is more correct?:

"we have a bunch of bad apples in a good barrel" or
"we have a bunch of basically good apples in a bad barrel"

.. my first impulse was getting rid of the bad apples would solve the worlds problems but the more i thought about it the more that seemed wrong .. what do u think?

If we really were talking about apples, the fruit, then it would depend on the cost of sorting the barrel verses the cost of buying a new barrel of good apples.

If sorting a mixed barrel costs $5, but buying a barrel of good apples costs $3, you throw the whole bad barrel away.

If we were to judge ourselves in comparison to Jesus Christ, then the answer would be "we have a bunch of bad apples in a good world." But the good news is that God can made bad apples like they were made in heaven, perfect and sweet, to go into a new barrel (a new earth) which He has already planned, if people would call upon His name.. Rev.22.

The barrel is perfect, in as much as it's nature, and neither good nor evil. Basically perfect. A symphonic unemotional food chain of perfect order.

Humans are the cause of all problems dealing with each other. Hoarding, no compassion, no sharing resources - countless other examples.

Bad apples in a good barrel. Mankind creates problems in the world he lives in; the world does not create problems for mankind. I'm speaking in terms of sociology and excluding things like natural disasters.

It is neither the apples nor the barrel that is bad, but false beliefs will keep humanity in shackles, and the result is believing something bad is a reality and out of control.

Why do we have to put the apples in the barrel? Why not let them stay on the ground where they fall?

uhm...
how was you wanting to get rid of the bad apples (if you decided to)?
Getting rid of the earth wouldn't help either.

How about Romans 10 for the bad apples to consider.
