The pope recently renewed the claim that Catholicism is the only true path to salvation. Protestants know that this is ridiculous, reasoning that the pope is simply trying to solidify his power.

Now, examine this analogy. Replace the pope with the collective body of all churches of organized religions: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and so on. Together, as a whole, they claim precisely what the pope does. "You can only find salvation through us."

Perhaps Protestants will understand a little more clearly why agnostics and atheists are so skeptical.

I personally believe that if you do everything you can to be a good person in life, you cannot go wrong. It is likely unnecessary to attend or donate money to any church at all. It is likely unnecessary to ever lay eyes on a Bible. It is likely that, if anyone is saved at all, you will be saved if you loyally follow the sense of ethics you were born with.

What do you think?

Christians use the word Antichrist but that is a mixture of Greek and has no real basis in scripture.

God will send the Jews (who denied Jesus was their Messiah) a False Messiah who will be the most Evil leader to come on the face of the earth. He will become the King/Leader of Israel.

God will gather all the Jews of the world into one small area and then send them a False Messiah as a final retribution and chastisement.

Islam will be the greatest enemy of the EVIL False Messiah.

Jesus will return and join the Islamic Cavalry that marches onto Israel and Jesus will slay the False Messiah at a place called LUD.

In the time of Nimrod in scripture it explains the time of cunfusion of languages with the building of the tower of babel, this can explain the seperation of nations because of language barriers, but what about skin colour and facial features of Japanese and chinese etc, how has this diversity happened u think...is it purely enviromental?

Michael Moore's new movie "SiCKO" suggests that Europeans & Canadians are more secure about their access to health care and other social networks. It is also true that they are more secular in their beliefs than are Americans, whose health care is questionable at best.

Does American doubts about the ability of society to meet its needs encourage its citizens to turn to myth-based beliefs, similar to the third world?

Don't all people really see politics and religion in close collaboration with each other (how can a Christian not use his faith to help develop laws, as such how can a Muslim not feel the same obligation)?

Thanks be to GOD, we can all improve!

Whom they call the "Antichrist" (more accurately the False Messiah)......... and they wonder why Muslims are hostile to Israel ?????

The most EVIL and deceptive leader to come on the earth in the history of mankind and they have chosen to be on HIS side against Islam.

Islam is the greatest threat to the False Messiah (Antichrist).

Processes used by religious groups to create and support dogma........

Eisegisis: To read into a scriptural text to find support for a theory or belief [Apriori]

Apriori: To take a position and then to seek support to prove it. Typically leads to putting into or reading into the text what is not
really there. Having a thought or theory and digging through scripture to find evidence to support it.

Apriori: In computer science and data mining, Apriori is a classic algorithm for learning association rules. Apriori is designed to operate on databases containing transactions (for example, collections of items bought by customers, or details of a website frequentation). Other algorithms are designed for finding association rules in data having no transactions (Winepi and Minepi), or having no timestamps (DNA sequencing).

A priori, in a legal sense, based on deduction or hypothesis

JW's say that Jesus was hang in a pole( which is a lie) . they say that his hands were put together on top of his head. Which of course its not true either. The reason is this. On 20:25 Thomas says"'Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails and stick my finger into the print of the nails and stick my hand into his side, I will certainly not believe' ".Now if Jesus were crucified not on a cross, but on a stake, then only one nail would have been used for his hands. Our text, however, says that nails were used (one for each hand). This verse is extremely problematic for the Watchtower position - especially since their own New World Translation has the plural form of "nails". JW's what do you believe now?

If someone's god is said to disapprove of homosexuality, does that mean followers of said god should feel justified in legislating their religious doctrine into secular law?

Similarly, should it be OK for a religious group to legally require others to adhere to their dietary restrictions, or to pray in the manner they pray, or to deny themselves nourishment on fasting days?

Sorry I keep picking on you guys... just since I'm Christian (never really learned about other religions) the atheist religion confuses me the most. I always wondered this though..

Gay marriage is a huge controversy today, and many Christians will be against it saying its against what the Bible says and what not. But, I want to know, how do you guys feel about gay marriage?
