Baptism is for the remission of sins. It is a spiritual "rebirth" where a person can be cleansed of all their previous sins. Why are babies baptized when they are too young to be accountable to any sins they may commit? (This is asked in all sincerity)

Does that mean they would be able to find a cure? And if they did, would homosexuals use it? Would they be able to remove the gene in the fetus before it's born?

A lot of people picked me up wrong when I asked the above question,I believed in a God up until 15 years ago, that's when I took seriously ill, through no fault of my own,it was down to medication since then my health has worsened,I have had 2 heart attacks, recurrent blood clots on my lungs,my left lung is not working properly,I have peripheral vascular disease, nerve damage caused by surgery,I have had 6 instances of almost dying and in the past month I have suffered massive blood loss and have almost bled to death and in the past 4 weeks I have had blood transfusions totalling 6 pints on top of all this I am in severe pain 24/7 and due to all this happening in the past 15 years I have been unable to work and am therefore poverty stricken, there are other things in my life that I am not going to go into-these are the reasons I no longer believe in God-if there is a God as a lot of you think there is then he must have one sick and twisted sense of humour .

Yesterday I two questions around the same idea, that life can be just as good, if not better without having a God in your life. I stated my case in a respectful, and well thought out manner, and both questions were deleted.

Why? I say much more offensive things on here that don't get flagged, but when I merely suggest that life without God can be a positive experience this somehow offends you?

Life without God, does not mean a life of anarchy, and "sin." I live my life the best I can with what I have at my disposal. I have love for everyone, and everything, and I live a good, positive life.

So what is so wrong about me asking why people can't accept that life can be good, great, excellent, without God(s)?

I acknowledge that in places like Afghanistan, they are forced to, but this is not for most other muslim women. Afghanistan and Pakistan are the worst examples of Islam, with Saudi Arabia running a close second. Islam does not allow this mistreatment of women, and you will not find it anywhere where this is allowed. Islam sees women as equal to men, but having their own roles.

Why do some like to ignore it when they are told by muslim women that they are not oppressed? What, do you WANT them to feel oppressed or something? I'm a muslim woman. The only time I ever felt oppressed was before I was a muslim and I had to strive to have everything perfect so the guys could enjoy the view. Not anymore ,and I feel free. My ex husband was Pakistani. He hated hijab and even forced me NOT to wear it. That's one major reason I divorced him. Why do so many like to take their opinions from biased news sources? I could just as easily reach conclusions about other religions that way.

Stop calling homosexuality a choice, people. Did you know that it's as much a "choice" as being right or left-handed? I understand that you will completely ignore science and logical thought and turn to your book of fairy tales for "real" science, but seriously, you really have no room to say it's a choice any more than I have room to tell my left-handed sister than she "chooses" to write with her left hand.

Get a brain, for the sake of our future as a species, I beg you.

I fear for our world....

I had this guy on myspace hitting on me last night (knowing that I am a married man with child)....he told me he had kids too and that it didn't matter...he also said that he was Christian and that the Christian belief system has changed so much over time that it now allows gays to be a part of the belief. So, can Christians be gay in today's world?
