That it is similiar to the 3 Goddesses?

Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Daughter, Mother, Crone (or whatever variation there are)

Both are one being but represented in 3 different ways. I wonder why it is so similiar?

I agree with this (is also on my 360 blog):

By Dale Thompson of Bride

The Laver, or the Molten Sea

The laver of the temple was a place of cleansing and purification for the
priest as they washed themselves (baptism), the vessels, and the sacrifices.
This "water baptism" set up in the days of Moses, was itself only an earthly
manifestation of the heavenly baptism, the baptism of fire.

John in the book of Revelation points to the temple laver and calls it the
Lake of Fire because it portrays a Refiners Fire.

Both the tabernacle of Moses and the temple of Solomon used water in their
lavers, rather than molten gold. Yet the water was to portray the molten
gold. Gold is the divine nature, and so the laver itself would portray God's
refining process. In our fleshly state we could not survive a baptism of
fiery gold, and so water baptism became the substitute and type of the true
baptism of fire.

According to the Guru Gita, the Guru is more powerful than God. It is also said that the Guru can stop God, but God can't stop the Guru.

If God's Forms are useless, should we worship our Guru only?
What about worshipping a Form & a Guru?
Or only a Form?
Thoughts?

Why is it that Christians believe that one cannot experience Christ without going through the rituals of being converted..baptised etc;
These are surely not important when you lead a Christ like Life!
Please tell me if I am wrong.

Ok lets sum up mormonism.
1. Joseph Smith decides to become a prophet.
2. He wraps an old set of chalkboards in tablecloth.
3. He then goes out and tells people of the miraculous acquisition of these sacred plates from god and wows the poor gullible souls.
4. He lets people feel these amazing "gold plates" through the cloth but says that people are not allowed to touch or see them for real.
5. People start to question this and find it kinda weird.
6. Joseph smith worries.
7. Joseph smith pays people to sign a written statment that they have seen the plates for real.
8. People still question
9. Joseph smith gives up and puts the tablecloth and chalkboards back in the cupboard.
10. People ask where the plates went. Joseph smith doesnt want to look like a noob so he says that he gave them back to god.

I cant believe it either. lol.

you intend to spend in heaven, wouldnt you be a bit more motivated to transform the world and convince others to change. Because God is watching absolutely everything and you believe he will judge you. Wouldnt every single second of your life be filled with the obsessive need to spread the word and do good, to the absolute maximum of your potential?
Considering the fact that not at least TRYING to do that might land you in hell for an eternity.

Whats 70-80 years of selfless personal sacrifice and duty to God when you might miss out on an eternity of heavenly bliss if you dont do that. It is within your potential to do that, but I dont see many people actually doing that.

Only when all the trees have been cut down, when all the animals have been hunted, when all the waters are polluted, when all the air is unsafe to breathe, only then will you discover you cannot eat money.

How much do you think this ancient American Indian prophecy applies to our lives today?

When children ask where God is, they are told "up there" with a finger pointed up to the sky. I have heard a lot of people on R&S refer to God as Sky Daddy, etc. as though they really do think that God lives somewhere up in the clouds or the atmosphere of earth.

Don't most people realize that God is much bigger than our entire universe or perhaps many universes and does not "live" anywhere inside of it?

His spirit is here- just as the spirit of a great artist rests inside his paintings, but the artist does not live in the painting.

Your thoughts?

I am trying to become a Christian again as well as dealing with some long-term substance abuse issues. I really want to change, get closer to God, and feel that he has forgiven me for things past and will help me on the road to recovery and improving my life and relationship with him. If you are a christian, can you take a few seconds out to pray for me?

According to what Jesus taugh in John chapter 3, if you aren't "Born Again" you aren't really a Christian at all. And according to John 3:6, John 3:5 teaches that "born of water" is human childbirth and has nothing to do with water baptism.

I'm not asking who is a Christian according to the teaching of some religious group here on earth, I'm asking who is a Christian according to what Jesus said in the Bible.

I need to analyse a famous person who held this stance and compare it to the view of the catholic church.

its easy to find the catholic church's position. but can anyone think of an individual famous person who believed that it is worth dying for a cause? I was thinking of some famous war veteran or person who sacrificed life to save another?

Thanks for your thoughts :)

I guess the obvious answer would be 'find a church u do like'. That was my case. i searched for a church that i do like for a while then i just gave up. even tho i didn't find a church i liked, i felt empty. i was thinking God would respect this and let it be, however, he doesn't and wants me to go to church. i was given a strong visitation sunday (yesterday) and i was waked up by angels and he wanted me to go to church. i was sleeping and tired cuz i just went to sleep at like 6am, and now its 10am and he wants me to go to church, i was like no way. and he woke me up again at 11:30am and same thing, and so i got angry and slept and i got all the rest i needed to go to work but when i got there. i had devils talkin to me whole time. doctors say i am schizophrenic. i sometimes think ppl do stuff to make me angry when they don't. it makes me want to kill ppl. anyway, i need to resolve this problem. the whole reason why i didnt go to church is cuz i dont like my choice of churchs.

i believe in god, but doubt jesus was his son, i worship god, but i refuse to worship jesus, i believe in gods word, gods laws and i believe in the teachings from the O T, i havnt read the NT, ive heard about jesus miracles, and ive watched the story of jesus and how he died, i dont recall him ever saying he was god, and i cant see why people worship him as he was a god, im supposed to be a christian, but obviously im not,i think they only believe what suits them at the time, coz jesus changed gods laws, they now think they can, if im wrong correct me but jesus was a jew, jews dont think hes god, my thoughts on jesus was, he was great man like abraham, issaic, joseph and moses, but not divine, not a god, if he was a god he was a false god, meaning christianity is a false religion.

i don't mean that to be a hateful statement. personally, i just ignore what he's said about other churches recently. however, there is no denying that his actions have caused quite a stir. a lot of protestants are angry about what the pope has recently said, and if i were catholic, i think i would be a little bit tired of defending the church because of what its leader has said or done. are you a little bit resentful of his recent statements?

protestants- this is not a question that has been asked so that you may have the right to bash the catholic church. this question has been asked specifically to members of the rcc.

catholics- the same thing applies to you. hateful talk will on either side will not be tolerated. not this time.

now that you know the rules, feel free to answer in a civilized manner. i don't usually do it like this, but this time, insulting remarks will be reported. and no, i won't be insulted if you say the rcc is the one true church. just mind your tone.

Read for your self John 3:16-18. God sent His only Son Jesus for the world not just "The Roman Catholic Church". My ? is What have you done with what Jesus did @ the cross? Have you recieved Him as your Savour Or rejected Him? What church you go to does not matter. What you do with Jesus does. Going to church does not make you a Christian. What makes you a Christian is that you have accepted Jesus as your Savour. Have you accepted Him or rejected Him?

Herod, along with many others, wondered who Jesus really was. Unable to accept Jesus' claim to be God's Son, many people made up their own explanation for His power and authority. Herod thought that Jesus was John the Baptist come back to life, while those who were familiar with the Old Testament thought He was Elijah. Others believed that Jesus was a teaching prophet in the tradition of Moses, Isaiah, or Jeremiah. Today people still have to make up their minds about Jesus. Some think that if they can name what He is-prophet, teacher, good man-they can weaken the power of his claim on their lives. BUT WHAT THEY THINK DOES NOT CHANGE WHO JESUS IS.
