It would be dumb to do that! Examine the various religions for yourself, and if you can't swallow any, spit them all out for good, as I have done. Who says you must pass on any religion to your kids? Save them from credulity, please. Rather, teach them to adopt REASON as their only infallible guide and religion!

If you think it's dumb why would you want to subject your children to it. You clearly weren't happy that your parents forced their religious beliefs onto you as a child, so why would you want to make the same mistake with your own children. Why not discuss religions openly with your children, and then perhaps when their old enough, and the feel they need it, they can join their own religion that they are going to be happy with, and not something that their parents forced onto them, but they had no interest in.

No,..... your children should be educated as to all belief structures so they can chose their own when they are ready to. I have heard so many people say that they believe what their parents believed and that is good enough. But, it does sound like ignorance is the way that most people get their belief structures. I was lucky, I didn't grow up in a religious family and got to make an informed choice.

Absolutely not. Encourage your children to study for themselves and establish a personal contact with the Spirit that made all things. You might also consider this for yourself. Then when you have done this choosing a group to be a part of will be no challenge at all. As long as you need human leadership you will be lead away from The Spirit.
P.S. The Spirit actually has a name and will reveal that name to you if you ask. Remember you are asking The Spirit that made all things.
