Could it be that there is a void in their hearts and they are actually hungry for God? They seem to love it here. Maybe their hearts are crying out for God.

Say we randomly selected congress people every four years or so. To be eligible you would have to be clear of felonies and have a full time job.

I find it sad that I think this would actually improve things in DC.

Last time God was at his most active (allegedly), sending messiahs, and causing miracles and doing things which people took any notice of was in the biblical period. At the time according to Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_population#Historical_figures ) the entire human population was estimated around 200 million. In the last century, according to estimates by Martin White ( http://users.erols.com/mwhite28/warstats.htm ) humans have killed more than 175 million just in wars and genocidal events. That is excluding the millions killed by epidemics (approx 20 million for influenza after WW1, 11 million for aids). Murder killed another 8 million. Smallpox killed 300-500 million people. Smoking killed 71 million. Natural disasters killed 3.5 million. There are plenty of other statistics. Overall, in the last hundred years, enough people have died unpleasntly to have wiped out the entire human population several times over the last time God showed any interest. Where is he

I mean...aren't you the ones telling us that "if you go to the barbershop enough times you'll get a haircut"?
I mean you can only tell us so many times we're bad and wrong and going to Hell. I realize for some of you this is your life, so please enjoy this question.

Like how much they disagree with what you've claimed is god's own truth?

You all claim to believe in the same god, book, and holy ghost, and yet none of you can agree.

Who sows the seeds of confusion about christianity, if not the fact you all disagree with -each other-?

Did God not provide a way for salvation through Jesus for everyone? We are sinners, and they are too, how can they not be saved? I know that God does not like the practice of homosexuality, but I am interested in bible passages that state that these people cannot be saved. Thanks

By the way people that are not Christians need not answer this question, it would be pointless.

Care to find the scripture where Jesus told you to turn the other cheek, or make threats, whichever suits you?

Or is this an example of what you call a "fake" christian?

This goes out to all the nonchristians. Christians dont bother. How about we who think the bible is hatred and hogwash start calling the christian god Ego. He seems to have a great big one. In my opinion it fits. So in future questions who is willing to refer to Ego?

I got an email from a christian this morning that left me shaking my head.

In it, he claimed that I was sacrificing my children for the sake of believing in evolution.

His justification for this was Exodus 34.7

And while this stuff goes on............other christians are asking atheists why we have a problem with people believing in the bible.

Isn't it right that I want to protect my kids from this sort of propaganda?

Do these sort of christians really think it will change my stand when they try telling me my children will suffer for my beliefs?

I also got told to ask God for myself if he was real..........hmmm.

Why would I want to ask a question of an imaginary entity that I don't believe in?

Should the guy who sent me the email perhaps pay a visit to a therapist?
