It couldn't be worse could it?How can you get that many lawyers together(the vast majority have a degree in law)in one place and think some thing good is going to come out of it.

No, Remember the average American adult has an IQ of 100.
I think a better idea would be to require all candidates to take a battery of tests and to publish the results.

if people actually voted, or got involved, it would be a lot better. the problem is noone wants to do that anymore. they'd rather sit around, wait for bad things to happen, and then blame the government for our problems. then, when they're asked why they didn't vote, they'll say things like ''my vote doesn't count anyway. boo hoo. poor me.''
political apathy will be the one of the biggest contributors of the downfall of our nation.

I think it would be better if the whole electoral system was done away with completely, it is archaic. In the days of internet, there is no need to have an official represent you at government, we could represent ourselves. Piles upon piles of money would be saved.

Yeah. It would improve things.
But only if we made them pass an IQ test with an above average score.
I can't stand politics.

No. But every politician should be recorded with every thing he/she says. Then if he/she changes her tune, later, he/she should be taken to court for lying to the American people. That seems to be a favorite habit of theirs. Pops

If people were elected randomly then it would take our free will away. Our right to vote!
