Nay!!!! In Mark 14:50, it says the disciples forsook Jesus and fled. Even Peter forsook Jesus after the cock crowed three times as Jesus foretold: (Matthew 26:75) And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly. The most likely persons whom may have witnessed this moment in Jesus’ life were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joses, the mother of Zebedee’s children and other women (Matthew 27:55-56). However, there is no statement or account in the Gospels from those women as to what they saw or heard. (Alive)
The disciple(s) found the sepulchre where Jesus was laid down, empty, and made the conclusion that he was resurrected because the disciples and other witnesses saw him alive after the alleged Crucifixion. Nobody saw the moment he was resurrected. Jesus himself stated that he did not die on the cross in Luke 24:36-41, as explained in the following paragraphs.

suddenly become religious when their lives are in danger or are really terrified of an outcome of a situation?
In these instances you find them praying to God for help etc.

Do its adherents [creationists] imagine that God is a cosmic hoaxer who has created that whole vast fossil record for the sole purpose of misleading mankind? (Arthur C. Clarke, essay, "Presidents, Experts, and Asteroids," June 1998)

Come on people, there are things that happen around us all the time that let us know that there is more there than meets the eye.

Anyone ever 'sensed' something that they couldn't quite put into words? Or can't explain the scent of a past family member coming to you around their anniversary, or a mystical experience or vision of Christ or messages from Angels.

All these things are completely natural and non-religious. So please, those with sarcy comments, keep them to yourselves.

If we do not nurture and encourage our own personal spiritual development, it is only ourselves that are to blame for the neglect.

No matter how many barriers we make within ourselves, it is never too late to bring them back down again, so that the spirit can be recognised and acknowledged and respected.

Spirit is all around us, if only we could turn and see...

If only we treat each other the way we would like to be treated. Jesus said "The New Covenant is: Love your brother as yourself".

I do. My 14 year old son, my dad. I hope they end up saved. So christians when you tell them about Jesus do they ignore you or listen? And if htey ignore you do you just pray for them and leave them in God's hands. What about other people? Do you talk to them about God or do you just leave it and think if they go to hell they go to hell. What do you think chrisitans. Are you concerned for you loved ones of family and friends. You cannot do anymore than plant seed right? I mean you cannot save anyone that is the job of the holy Spirit. And if they end up in hell it will not be your fault becasue you have warned them and they chose to ignore it, so therefore it is there fault if they go there, as they sent themslefs there by rejecting Jesus.

lets see how many self rightious christians go to those abortion chanels and bag out women who dont have the strength to go through with the pregnancy. you think these women are going to have a good time explaining to their kids why daddy aint around? better yet, explain to a teenager that not only was it "gods plan " for her to get raped and fall pregnant to some w@nker, but she will be judged harshly if she aborts it. what about those kids who were born out of pressure from their families and are now in financial trouble because daddy left mummy or vice versa? there is more to the story than you hypocritical judgemental stone throwers think. be more christ like. show some compassion. you bring the scriptures and i'll bring real life scenarios. we'll see which side holds up to a test of practical aplication.

According to verse 4:119-120, Satan (the rejected one) is the one who creates false desires and misleads people. Refer also 15:42. However, according to verse 16:93, it is God who leaves people astray as He wills! See also 4:78.

(4:119-120)
"I will mislead them, and I will create in them false desires....." (says Satan)
"Satan make them promises and creates in them false hopes...."
(16:93)
"If Allah so willed, He could make you all one people. But He leaves straying whom He pleases and He guides whom He pleases ...."

Statistics show that those without any religious beliefs are highly insecure and base their existance on pure logic and "intelligence" . Hense their insecurity. I have never come across more misery as when a non-believer is about to leave this world and realises that there was more to it all than their narrow minded (But oh so intellectual)brains would allow.
My question is this- Why on earth would anyone purporting to be smart make a rediculous corrolation between Religion and IQ? (Its faith, not religion, that transcends the human brain anyway)

The Old Covenant declared that a curse would come on Israel if they broke God's Law. In Leviticus 26:19 God said he would make their heaven as iron and in Deut. 28:23 he said it would be as brass.
Naturally speaking, lack of rain for crops and livestock would be a devasdtating punishment.
Spiritually symbolic too. There would be no answer to their prayers as a result of their disobedient.

This teaching about heaven being shut up against God's people if they don't tithe also comes from Malachi 3 where God is rebuking the nation of Israel for breaking the covenant. In verse 10 he says:
"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, andprove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, hat there shall not be room enough to receive it."

Israel wasn't giving God the tithes that were required by their covenant, so they were anation of God-robbers and they were under a curse. God...

Why can't I just accept that God exists and be perfectly content and satisfied like most people? Most people don't even question their faith, they just know. I wish I could find that kind of security, but I doubt everything. I'm very pessimistic- I expect the worst. I fear that there isn't an afterlife, and spend literally every night crying, fearing that I will never be reunited with my loved ones in the afterlife. I'm only 19. Is it normal to feel this depressed about death all the time?

I wish I could just believe that God existed. I wish it were simple, but it's not for me.
What's wrong with me?
