Why did He give us the desire to cross dress?...Have you read your Bible?...Where does it say that God gave us that desire?...Did God give Eve the desire to eat the forbidden fruit?...No, it was the evil one, satan...It says in the word that God will never tempt us.
In James 1:13-14 it says, "Let no one say when he is tempted, I am being tempted by God; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust."
God considers things such as cross dressing and the like as sins, God hates sin, He's not going to tempt anyone to do something He hates...The temptations and desires you speak of are from the pit of hell...You say you "can think of a lot worse things that go on in this world." But to God there are not 'degrees' of sin, it's either sin or it's not...If you call a man a fool you have sinned against God, if you murder that man you have sinned against God, but neither, in God's eye, weigh heavier than the other...sin 'is' sin...

So God decides what we wear? Wake up - you are partloy right, clothes are just clothes and we have arbitrarily assigned which garments go with which gender - it has not been consistent throughout history. On one hand you say it is not such a bad thing (and I have to agree - it is only dressing up) but then say they know they shouldn't do it - well why not? I think you should form your own opinions rather than adopting someone elses.

I have read the Bible from one end to the other and do not know of any passage that tells one how to dress. I am sure that someone will find an interpetation of such somewhere but is it really what it means. I for one do not believe that the clothes make you or break you as a Christian.

Firstly, it is NOT God who gives the desire to cross dress. There is such a thing as Satan who seeks to destroy.
Secondly, they are bound by Satan and can be set free by Jesus Christ if only they would just come to Him. It is a cruel thing to be like that and my heart aches for people like this.
It is very important that you know that God looks at the heart. Being homosexual is a sin, cross dressing is a sin but so is the "white lie" a sin.
The Lord loves all these people and sees their pain. He wants to heal them and He can - if they will only come to Him.

God did not make men! God made Adam and Eve, they then in turn produced children. Adam and Eve became less than perfect, this imperfection was passed down to their offspring and so on. Imagine trying to bake a square cake in a round tin, impossible. Same with mankind, we can not produce perfection because we are imperfect.
Man's desire to dress as a woman is merely a display of his imperfections.

I don't think God minds about the clothes per se, because fashions have changed so much over the years. We used to wear togas, belted robes, tunics and leggings, etc. men and women's fashions are always changing. What I think He does care about is men wearing women's clothes and women wearing men's clothes, and taking on the persona; cross-dressing. This isn't a modern problem, pagan cities were known for crossdressers; mostly men pretending to be women prositutes for some pagan deity.

If God gave everyone a desire to cross-dress there would be no cross-dressing possible. Cross-dressing is seen by a great majority, not necessarily religious, as strange, abnormal- defective, even. Why would a deity, who wants the best for each of us, think otherwise?
The gospel of Christ shows all of us to be evil, if we are really honest, and nobody can point a finger at anyone else. It is when we respond to Jesus' offer of salvation through trust in his sacrifice on our behalf that we start to change our attitude, to God, to others, and to ourselves, and we treat everyone properly, as we should be treated.

Are you a child-molester? A serial killer? A perpetual liar? Why / why not? I mean it is your opinion that it is "God" that gives you these desires, which is an unbiblical comment. Every man, very woman has some tendecy of sin that must not be tolerated, and this includes cross-dressing. Satan, not God, gives us the desire to sin and God gives us the strength to resist it IF we lean on Him and obey His Word. The key to overcoming a sin is to resist it immediately delaying only makes it more difficult ( James ch.1 ). Cross-dressing is a perversion of God's natural order and a pervsion is sin.

Sometimes I have the strong desire to mock other people and to look down on them with disdain but God says that when a person does that they are defaming people created in His image so I control that desire and replace it with compassion and the realization that we all have our faults and but for the grace of God there go I.
I don't complain to my Maker "Why have you made me like this? Why do you give me these desires and then tell me to resist them?". Instead by the power of God's Spirit and out of gratitude to Jesus who made Himself nothing and humbled Himself unto death, even a shameful death on the cross, I overcome sinful desires and replace them with an attitude that pleases my great and gracious Heavenly Father.

God gave humanity the freedom to do whatever we want and the wisdom to choose between good and evil.So to say the least, God is not interested in our politics, our cultural beliefs and traditions.
Even assuming that God created man and woman He has no business to do as to what we eat, drink or wear.In that case, a woman has the right (permissible by law) to dress half naked, for instance, and it is the right of the man to refuse not to see the nakedness of the woman.
