I was saddened by this link, and I want to see what other YA members think of it. I felt like these lives (besides those of our own people which I know are important), are not important to many people, are they to you?

You're supposed to speed up to the 6th minute, don't bother with whats before, then just watch it for 3 minutes. Come back and tell me how it made you feel. I would really like to know.

This one's just for funsies.

So, I'm God, it's Judgement Day, and you're standing in front of that big purple throne (hey, it's my throne, I'll paint it any color I want) trying to talk your way past those pearly gates into eternal Xanadu.

What do you say? What makes you so special that you deserve the Big Payoff?

Have fun.

If they are a different faith than yours, have they changed your perception of that faith?

I'll say that I've been immensely impressed with some fine persons of faith, especially Serafim, Super Bobo, Ramjet, Southernmale42, and Pangel. They exemplify what true Christianity is. Also, I just love Bobby Bonsai, he just cracks me up!

self-love,
outsmarting each other with wickedness and treachery,
cheating with others spouses,
homosexuality,
rejecting the Almighty,
flesh parade in the name of fashion,

isn't the answer to surrender to the Will and Word of the Father and put the breaths of our life to use, no matter how worthless we consider ourselves?

I dont believe in god, I'll never be able to say he or she doesn't exist because you can't prove a negative, but I can't bring myself to believe in god. Just like I can't believe in the tooth fairy or santa clause. But I don't want to die and am fearful of what occurs after death. But I have no idea if what happens is heaven/hell.

Everyone who's told me I'm going to hell or going to heaven has never been there him/herself so how can I how much countenance can I really give their opinion since they have no special knowledge on this issue since you cant die and come back (unless you're a character in a book that may or may not have been held intact over multiple thousands of years).

So what do I do? Just believe out of fear of hell? Thats not true belief. Belief just for the sake of it is fine if there is only one god, but what if there are multiple gods as there are so many different interpretations of religion? What if I dont pick the right one?

Some of my family members such as my sister don't understand why, they just see things as well if it happens it happens and they offer no support other than negative advice that doesn't help me or the kids much in our situation. My sister and her husband have gone through a lot of cheating issues and they seem to be a happy family with their newborn baby and me who has been nothing but faithful to my husband and going through a divorce and I find no one better than God to help me through this terrible time in my life. Why can't people understand this?

Did Jesus have to get crucified on each planet in order to "save" their populations?

Bit of a masochist, isn't he?

I'm a Christian and I think (and this is JUST a guess) there is life on other planets.

The Bible clearly states that the only way to avoid Hell is to be a Christian. In order for people to be forgiven for their sins they have to accept the sacrifice of Jesus. In other words, without his death AND the acceptance of him as your savior, you don't get in.

I believe that God and Jesus are one, yet seperate entities. If there are people out there on other planets then God would have had to send himself as a sacrifice in order for him to forgive the aliens. He might not have manifested himself as the savior we know (he might be very different on some planets) but I believe on every planet where there is original sin this must be done every time. How else could the aliens be forgiven unless there was a sacrifice?

What do you think?

Someone here said in an answer tonight, "According to traditional Catholicism, the Pope is never wrong."

WHERE DO THEY GET THIS STUFF?

You are on the World Wide Web! It's easy enough to look up a good Catholic site and read the truth for yourself. A few clicks of the mouse and you'd know what the Church REALLY teaches.

Then, you'd be able to answer a question and sound semi-intelligent. Now many of the anti-Catholics here are just repeating misconceptions they've heard from someone else, who is most likely uninformed or just hate-filled.

Look it up, read the truth and THEN we might even take you seriously.

OK, so we know there is no Christian persectuion in the West.
Persecution in other parts of the world tend to come from other religious or political world views.

Jesus was hated by the religious people of his day who promoted intollerace, rules and regulations and hatred against people.

So and this is serious, when Jesus said you would be hated if you followed him was he actually talking about the extreem fundementalists and evangelicals that call themselves christians.

in that case these people are actually becomeing the very thing that Jesus hates.

Look at when Jesus said that the religious people had turned the temple into a market place.

Could that not be a fitting description of the evangelical church in western society - ie a multi billion dollar marketplace.

For the past couple of years, the stranges thing keeps happening. Every night at about the same time no matter if I 'm driving, or at home...wherever I'm at when I look at the clock it says 1134. (what's the big deal you say) When you write 1134 upside down it spells "hell" at first I said I will play that number, but 1yr went by, then 2,and 3 yrs. I'm NOT kidding. It could be in the morning/night 1134. What do you think this means; if it means anything at all? I told this to one other person; my boyfriend. and he does think anything. But do you think this is strange or what?

I see people doing this all the time and it disgusts me. I just recently answered a question on discrimination homosexuality, and someone actually stated that most of the people in the bible were homosexuals and that God praised them!! It's not just that, but many other things. Why do people want to distort truth?

who go out of their way to intensely describe themselves as being Christian?

Also, isn't the adjective "Christian" as in "a Christian home", "a Christian family", "a Christian upbringing" kind of cliche? It immediately sets the stage for who is part of the team and who is not welcome.

This is not a trick question, but it does take a little research and logic to figure out.

It is also the Key to understanding what in the world God is talking about in the Bible.
