How he is the “only-begotten Son.” Jesus’ being called the “only-begotten Son” (Joh 1:14; 3:16, 18; 1Jo 4:9) does not mean that the other spirit creatures produced were not God’s sons, for they are called sons as well. (Ge 6:2, 4; Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:4-7) However, by virtue of his being the sole direct creation of his Father, the firstborn Son was unique, different from all others of God’s sons, all of whom were created or begotten by Jehovah through that firstborn Son. So “the Word” was Jehovah’s “only-begotten Son” in a particular sense, even as Isaac was Abraham’s “only-begotten son” in a particular sense (his father already having another son but not by his wife Sarah).—Heb 11:17; Ge 16:15.God’s Firstborn
The Bible indicates that there was a time when God was alone. In his love he decided to share the gift of life by becoming a father—but not in the human sense. Rather, Jehovah used his unfathomable creative power to form a living, intelligent spirit person—“the beginning of the creation by God,” whom we now know as Jesus Christ. (Revelation 3:14; Proverbs 8:22) Because Jesus was directly created by God when God was all alone, Jesus is rightly called the “only-begotten son” and “the firstborn of all creation.”—John 1:14; Colossians 1:15.
Clearly, then, as the very first of God’s creations, Jesus could not be the Creator, “the only God.” (1 Timothy 1:17) On the other hand, God granted his Son many privileges. For example, through Jesus, God created “all other things,” including even the angels. These angels are referred to as “sons of God”—Jehovah being their Life-Giver as well.—Colossians 1:16; Job 1:6; 38:7.
After preparing the earth for human habitation, God, apparently speaking to his firstborn Son, said: “Let us make man in our image.” (Genesis 1:26; Proverbs 8:22-31) Thus, Jehovah also created the first human son of God, Adam, through the spirit creature who would become Jesus.—Luke 3:38.

Job 1:6, 2:1, these "sons of God" are obedient angels. Angels are created beings.
Job 38:4-7 are still angels
Psalms 82:1-6 These are pagan god's. As in Psalm 58, the pagan gods are seen as subordinate divine beings to whom Israel's God had delegated oversight of the foreign countries in the beginning. I declare: "gods though you be": in John 10:34 Jesus uses the verse to prove that those to whom the word of God is addressed can fittingly be called "gods."
Judge the earth: according to Deut 32:8-9, Israel's God had originally assigned jurisdiction over the foreign nations to the subordinate deities, keeping Israel as a personal possession. Now God will directly take over the rulership of the whole world.
The "first son" in human form would be Adam, in spiritual form would be the angels, all created by Jesus Christ God Almighty, before the creation of the universe

Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of the Father, begotten and not created. He is not an angel. He is a part of the Trinity, the Godhead itself.
Some people believe Michael and Jesus were the same, others that Michael was a symbol of Jesus. I don't believe either one. I believe that Michael is an archangel and Jesus is Lord and Saviour.
Works for me.

Jesus. Jesus is not merely God’s unique or incomparable Son but also his “only-begotten Son,” hence descended from God in the sense of being produced by God. This is confirmed by apostolic references to this Son as “the firstborn of all creation” and as “the One born [form of gen·na′o] from God” (1Jo 5:18), while Jesus himself states that he is “the beginning of the creation by God.” Re 3:14.
At Col. 1:15, Jesus is called the firstborn of every creature. That means out of all the creatures God made, he was the first. Later, God invited his Son to join him in making everything else, including humans (Gen. 1:26)
Jesus is the “only-begotten Son” (Joh 3:16) in that he is the only one of God’s sons, spirit or human, created solely by God, for all others were created through, or “by means of,” that firstborn Son. Col 1:16, 17

But Jesus is "the ONLY BEGOTTEN" Son of God. That is the difference. Because He is begotten He is truely divine. Created things are sons through creation but are not deity. Read your Bible it is clearly explained there.

Jehovah God created a son. God called his son Michael. Michael was also referred to as the Archangel or the greatest among the angels of heaven. So great he was that all the angels worship him. When Michael came to earth to buy back mankind he was called Jesus or Emmanuel.
Jesus went back to heaven and after Armageddon he will have a new name.

May I take just a moment to point out that while Michael may mean (who is like God), that Immanuel means (God is with us) and not (who is like God is with us).
May everyones eyes see, may your ears hear, and may you know and believe that He is the Same ONE, besides Him there is no other Savior, and there were no gods formed before Him or after Him.
Jesus is not Michael, Jesus is not an angel, and Jesus is not created.

Dear Debbie, I did not know Jesus was named Michael. If that is true then I learned something new today. Good for me.
Moises, I honestly don't know the answer and I thought Jesus was the "only son". Before you close your question, can you give us the answer?

to the person above,
its true that Jesus is the first creation, Colosians 1: 15,16. the name Jesus(w/c means "Jehovah is Salvation) and Christ "the Messiah( means "the anointed one") is given to him when he is born as human, Micheal(means"who is like God) is his name in heaven in the begining.

If you read the Bible, it will refer to Lucifer as Son of the Morning. Although no religious script that I have read comes out and says it, I am led to believe that through what I have read, Lucifer was Gods first born. If you are a Christian, then this would make Satan's betrayal all the more significant and very much more pain to God.
