What? Look, I'm all for compassion, but I'm also for RESPONSIBILITY. You know, that thing where if you make a mistake, you pay for it?
Abortion is understandable in certain circumstances. It doesn't make it RIGHT, not EVER, but there's a little bit more breathing room. For example, in cases of rape, and in cases where the mother-to-be's life is at risk.
What I CAN'T understand is women who go out, have unprotected sex, and then go, "Oh, oops, I'm pregnant. Never mind the fact that I should have thought about the consequences BEFORE I had sex, I'm just going to go have an abortion."
I'm sorry, I have very little sympathy for situations like those. ESPECIALLY when there are Pregnancy Crisis centers that give alternatives for women like those I described, and the poor mothers that YOU described. It does NOT cost anything to put a baby up for adoption, and there are LOTS of couples out there who want a baby and can't have one! Many adoption agencies have a waiting list for babies of over TWO YEARS. Meanwhile, many babies are aborted.
Not only that, but there is government assistance for single mothers (and fathers). There are "open-door" adoptions, where the mother could still have a place in their child's life.
AND for cases of rape, most hospitals and clinics offer the "morning after" pill. While I don't agree with it, I think the alternative is worse.
Don't want children? Can't AFFORD children? DON'T HAVE SEX. Or at least, for heaven's sake, go to Planned Parenthood and get condoms and birth control for CHEAP if not free!
I want children, and can't seem to be able to have them. I would gladly adopt a child or ten.

Your mind is just as perverted as anyone that judges another for what ever reason.I can bring my real life to the table and tell you and anyone else I had 3 abortions before I cried out to God to help me.I was going to kill my self if God had not intervened in my life and even when he did I had a hard time believing I was forgiven for taking 3 lives. Finally though God got through to me and as I have been forgiven so should I forgive and love right where anyone is at just way I was.
You have no clue as to what is in the mind of a woman either at the time or in the future of living with something like this.
2 wrong never make a right.I pray for your heart to change and you see the true light.

The issue is not abortion , and Christians have no business condemning these people, the issue is morals, immoral men and women that cannot keep their clothes on. The Bible teaches immoral people do not make it to Heaven, fornicators, adulterers, and such. Bible does not say that non-Christians must obey Christian laws. But being moral keeps the wraith of God's judgment away. You wonder about why bad things happen I can tell you plainly bad things happen when God's people are treated badly. God has a cup and when it get full judgment falls; Matthew 23:25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Matthew 23:26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
Luke 11:39 And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.
Revelation 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

one million. no person is ever justified in taking yet somebody else's existence, no count number what reason they use as a crutch. between the tries became made on an abortion surgeon in my city...he wasn't killed, yet no, it is inaccurate no count number what. 2. it is not for them to decide...the Bible they stay by says 'decide no longer lest ye be judged'. 3. i in my view have faith that sure, abortion might desire to be allowed in extreme situations, like interior the example of rape or incest, if the sufferer chooses. 4. sure, i think that if the being pregnant would be deadly for the mummy, it is going to be allowable then. those are on the subject of the sole situations I see abortion as a attainable option. i think of the rampant use of abortion as a skill of beginning administration at the instant is actual abhorrent. people who've intercourse consentually might desire to understand the attainable effects whilst they're having it, and be arranged to manage those effects. it is merely my opinion...if everyone disagrees, it is effective with me. it is merely how i think approximately it in my view. i'm no longer a Christian, by the way.

The real life scenarios I have seen are women in gross depression, even suicidal because the guilt and horror of killing their own child haunts them the rest of their lives. They may have seen baby parts floating through a suction tube or saw something in a basket or bag or nothing at all, just knowing. They can be counseled, attend therapy or church but it never leaves. It continues and the memories are with them on a daily basis the same as if a child is lost through some other way. I pray my sister who committed suicide in January this year is finally at peace. Rapists don't make babies, God does.

I agree although not as aggressively as you. A lot of it comes down to ignorance, they are very narrow minded and lazy about it. Also it is not just Christians it's people in general it is easy to judge and preach but most are to lazy to actually help...which bothers me to no end. I cannot tell you how many times I have posted asking a person who is pro-life how many foster kids they have or how many kids they have adopted....Most don't it's all about show and looking good for people. They don't care about the people involved in abortions..the mother, the child, the families all they care about is looking good. If that's not true than way are there still children in foster care and children waiting to be adopted or pregnant mothers needing help but not getting it.......

I am pro-choice.
I am not a hypocritical, judgemental stone thrower. YOU ARE, though, for assuming we are all pro-life.
I am Christ-like. I DO show compassion.
I KNOW there is more to the story.
Rape....abortion.....especially if a little girl was raped,
I really do resent people thinking ALL Christians are the same.
It's sad to see how much you seem to hate us all because of the actions/attitudes of a few.
How judgemental is that?
Your use of the W word is vulgar and repulsive. Gross.....

ok, thanks for the opinions! I agree somewhat, although honestly I have mixed feelings on the subject because I have known a few women who have abortions as a form of birth control, they are capable of caring for the child but they continue to have unprotected sex and have abortions when they fall pregnant, so in that case I dont agree with it. On the other hand I would not dream of judgeing a woman on her personal choice to have an abortion for other reasons. I dont think it is up to me to judge because I have never been in a situation like that so I think its best to leave it up to God.

The issue of abortion in this case is that it depends on the circumstance surrounding it. If she get raped, and get pregnant, God will not allow the baby to live when the baby is born we, can see example in the bible between Beersheba, Urriah's wife and King David in the Bible, u can see what happen when the child was born.
