Are you really interested in an answer or just venting? We dont pray to Mary, we ask Mary to pray for us, there are precedents in the Bible, we did not invent it. Read the wedding party at Canah if you are interested. Catholic men are not perfect, neither are men of any faith, that is exactly why we need the Bible and it's teachings. Women are just as prone to sinning as men, after all, we are all human and I seriously doubt all those babies you think are being made are being made alone.
And, believe it or not, women DO rule a lot of households.
Ummm, what are spinners anyway??

Roman Catholics ask for Mary to intercede on their behalf - we pray to Our Lord through Mary sometimes.
Women have always been revered by the Church and before its formation. Mary agreed to give birth to Our Lord, Mary Magdalen was held in high esteem by Jesus. We have all been given free will to behave as we wish - we choose to behave well or not. Women do rule the household - that is the case in most religions - even Islam the prophet revers the role women play in the family. Some choose to interpret their faith to suit themselves or to ignore the teachings. Judaism also respects the role of women and they are firmly in charge!
Sadly, some oafs are bad whatever, but women are the backbone of any family and its a foolish man that treads on his woman - whatever his faith!

Catholics do not pray to Mary. They ask Mary to pray to Jesus with them, just as Christians ask the Preachers or congregation to pray with them. If you would have simply searched Catholics pray to Mary, you would have seen this question has been asked and answered numerous times already. Unless there is some reason that you want to remain ignorant about the Catholic faith so that you can continue to bash them.
A question you recently asked- Why Atheists?
Why are the attacks becoming weaker and weaker against God? Is it because scientists are renouncing Darwinism as a valid source for the being of man kind?
Just curious, why are the attacks lessening on us poor lowly Christians?? (By the way the premise that scientists are rejecting Darwinism is false and based on "false" news items placed on websites sponsored by fundamentalist churches. I would ask why my church is deliberately misleading me...moving on)
It seems you do not like it when you feel like you are being attacked but you have no problem doing it yourself. How very "Christian" of you.

what does holding to God's rule of Honouring thy Father & Mother have to do with running a household. if you read Corinthians the women are supposed to submissive however the men are to treat their wives better then themselves - this is the way if works in a true relationship. it's not about me it's about we.

i would like to see your stats and citations as to where you come up with your statement for it makes no sense to me. i believe you are yet again, another person trying to show unChristian behaviour and their ignorance to the ways of the Catholic church.

BTW, i have no clue what a spinner is ....

We don't really pray to Mary. What we do is ask for her intercession with her son on our behalf.

Our belief is that any reasonable request she makes to her son Jesus Christ will not be denied. At the wedding feast in Cana, she mentioned to Jesus that the hosts had run out of wine. Jesus said that it wasn't His time to reveal Himself, He actually hadn't begun His earthly ministry yet. But His mother told the stewards "Do whatever He tells you". And Jesus proceeded to change the water into wine.

Mary lived for many years after Jesus' death, and was a source of consolation, wisdom, and guidance for the Apostles. She lived for many years in the home of the Apostle John. She is considered to be "the perfect disciple".

As the mother of God, Mary was born without stain of original sin, as God could not be born into sin. So Mary is the Immaculate Conception.

Mary was assumed bodily into heaven after she died. When some of the disciples went to her tomb to pay last respects, her body was gone, and the empty tomb was filled with lilies.

Men are instructed both by tradition, and by Scripture, to be the spiritual head of their families, and not just let moral guidance and spirituality go to the woman of the house by default, which in this day and age happens frequently, unfortunately....... Men are also instructed by Scripture to love and respect their wives just as Christ loves His Church.

you could not find praying to Mary in the bible of you had Hubble's telescope, lets look at a RC woman in the bible and Jesus' responce to her

Luke 11:27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
Luke 11:28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

He shot her down period. Jesus Christ was against worshipping of his mother.

Matthew 2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

worshipped HIM not her

gave HIM gifts not her

To ask Mary to pray WITH you or FOR you is Biblically wrong.
Mary should not be used as an INTERCESSOR...or channel for prayer.
(John 14:6) Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Prayers should be directed in ONE direction only. To Almighty God, Jesus' Father in heaven.
And only THROUGH Jesus.

I think praying to Mary is un-Biblical to begin with.

However, it has nothing to do with who is the head of the household or who is faithful or who is unfaithful. There are many good Catholics.
