There are several symbols associated with Buddhism, though commonly people just put the classic statue of the Buddha as the symbol:

Many Buddhists wear or carry a mala (prayer beads that look like a rosary. The Om symbol is also worn by many.

There are books on Buddhist Symbols because there are so many. I saw a bargain book at Barnes and Nobles with Buddhist symbols in it a while ago.

the sitting Buddha centred in the lotus, there's reclining Buddha, and the Sun Buddha, Money Buddha...Laughing Buddha...sometimes Buddha is fat and sometimes he is skinny...usually in China he's fat but in other places he's skinny...Fat usually is symbolic of wealth for the Chinese. So here are some examples, but the Sitting Buddha is the most popular.
