Of course!

No man ever believes that the bible means what it says; He is always convinced that it says what he means... quote from George Bernard Shaw

It is about Jesus and believing Jesus died for sins so we can go to heaven. Not a denomination or church, just about what we believe about Jesus. As for the bible, know the following and whoever does it is benefited as well. Only God can reveal the meaning of his word, the bible. So if we want to know the truth we must ask God to show us meanings and give us understanding or we just guess. Before we start reading the bible ask God for knowledge and understanding, then we can know and understand it as God gives it to us. The bible is Martian to us, so read it this way. God has to help us understand or we can not understand much of it. If I wanted to know something written is Martian, I would go to someone that speaks Martian and ask them what it means so that I may understand what it says. Or I could look at it, not understanding, then say it means this or that: not knowing Martian, I could try to make it mean whatever i wanted, though this would not be the right interpretation. Many do this with the bible, it is God's word and only God can tell us the meaning of things and give us understanding too. Or we just guess or make something up. So go to God and ask him directly for the truth of his word. And God can do this through any bible, not just some but all. hope this helps and take care.

Actually, people DO interpret the bible in different ways. Hence the reason there are so many different religions that came that they are the "only" ones that will go to heaven. For instance, in the Christian way, there are so many other religions within it that see understand the words of god differently. There's the Catholic Church, the Protestants, the Church of Christ... they all interpret the bible in different ways in that though they abide by only one bible, their beliefs essentially differ.
As for using the bible for one's selfish agenda... it has happened many times. It's shameful how a person who claims to believe in a god will use his words in order to manipulate other people.

We all interpret everything we see, read and hear through the lens of our own perception.

I like to tell my students about a classic marketing research project that showed after someone buys a new car, that person tends to notice and pay attention to advertising for that model (and make) AND tends to fail to notice advertising for competitive models.

So yes, it isn't only possible, it is a natural fact that people can (and will) interpret the Bible (or anything else they see, hear or read) in such a way as to make it consistent with their existing "world view" (perception).

For sure. That question is already answered by how many Christian denominations their are. If everyone is following the same book they would all be one church. But because King Constantine added, omitted and misconstrued so many thing in the Bible we have a big mess to clean up. Reading the Gospel of the Nazirenes (The original New Testament) google gospelofthenazirnes.com will bring averting to light. It has historical documentation of its authenticity. When one understand that the Truth is one in all religions then they can fully see. The problem is man interpretation and changing words through translation. Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) Whenever their is a decline in religious principles, and the truth appears to be lost, I appear again and again or send my representative to reestablish the truth." So that is why so many religions due to misinterpretation and changing things. He has to keep coming again and again and again.....Following the original Truth will set you free..........

Of course. Why are there so many christian religions?? Even people within the same religion interpret the bible their own way in order to justify their actions. Others like to assume they are superior to others and cast insults based on their presumed proper interpretation of the bible.

Of course. Since the Bible can be interpreted to mean so many different things to so many different people, everyone at some point or another can claim that their cause is supported in scripture.

It happens all the time. But Jesus is the great Judge who will separate the wheat from the chaff and reveal the hearts of men. If we dwell in the Holy Spirit and obey Christ, He will guide us about what's true and what's human agenda.

Every clergy of every organized religion promotes their respective religious text to promote their agenda. Its how that game works. It is also why I refuse to participate in organized religion.

As for Christians, Matthew 6:2 comes to mind.

Yup no doubt about it. That is why you shouldn't rely on someone else to tell you what the bible says. You should check who was talking in the scripture and who they were talking to... so you don't take it out of contex. People make the mistake of applying everye scripture to their own personal lives, when the fact of the matter is, not EVERY scripture is meant for us.
