Care to find the scripture where Jesus told you to turn the other cheek, or make threats, whichever suits you?

Or is this an example of what you call a "fake" christian?

I am posting this for the sake of other Christians and those that might benefit from it. Not you.

We shouldn't try to witness to people who are not even desirous of salvation. Jesus told us that there would be those who are not chosen, and why don't you believe Him?

Those that really want to come to God are the ones who are the one's to respond to.

Thanks for allowing me to use your question for that message.

I say rather ... Christians ... lay off those who don't believe or face the consequences.

We're sick of it, and we really don't want anyone to get hurt.

Some of these Christians think the martyr complex is a great thing. You get burned, persecuted, whatever, and the Great I AM gives you a 30,000 square foot pad in the heart o' the city o' gold, complete with Lapis bathroom tiles and a heated toilet seat.

Trouble is that when none of this happens, it will be much worse than merely feeling stood up or jilted ... you find out that the advertising copy was a lie, you paid big bucks, but the train never leaves the station.

I would like to propose that you have flaws too. Oh no, sorry, all atheists are perfect and have great reputations *sarcasm*. Here is where I don't turn the cheek. When you mock me, fine. When you mock my God and my religion, I will defend. I won't bother with those threats. I know you will have nothing to do with them, but I will fight for my religion.
Here's the deal, I am flawed. I struggle with pride. Sometimes I don't do so well with turning the other cheek. But I am trying the best I can.

Jesus taught love not hate.

Jesus gave us a wonderful parable of the sower that most rule bound Christians ignore. Jesus taught that what we receive from his words will be in proportion to the soil we have in our hearts. Someone with love, goodness and kindness in his heart will seek from the Bible an understanding of how Jesus expressed his tolerance, acceptance and love for others.

But unlike Jesus, many Christians express the opposite. They seem to focus on verses of law that allow claiming power and authority. This shows lack of self-esteem in many Christians having to use power and control of law rather than the greater responsibility of love which Jesus taught. Jesus clearly replaced and reversed many of the laws, in favor of love, but this is ignored by many Christians.

Many Christians use selected verses to point out wrongs in someone's life and call them sinners. Perhaps this makes them feel powerful but is not what Jesus taught or acted.

The know God says that judgment starts off whilst Jesus returns he brings his rewards with him and the saints would be judged on the marriage supper of the Lamb. however the white throne judgment is for all that have died out area of Jesus Christ and the books would be opened and all that they have executed is recorded in those books and people who's call isn't written in the e book of existence would be forged into the lake of fireplace. Peace.

Christ says in Matthew 5 that we are to turn the other cheek. Those who do not are not a fake Christian they are just not a Christian. Christian meaning one who follows Christ, or one who does as Christ did. It is not there place to convict you of your sins. They should know this.

In Jesus Name

I always find interesting those who veil the threat by saying "We're only telling the truth!" Would that make it acceptable for us to run up to your small children and scream "You're gonna die!" at them? After all, it IS the truth - we all die.

I liked the one person's message - and I apologize for not knowing your name right now - but that person said, basically, stop wasting your breath preaching at those who don't wish to hear it.

Thank you for saying that.

oh...

It must be past somebodies bed time....

This is somebody who still has some lessons to learn, it is really difficult maintaing Christ-likeness, when you feel attacked all the time... but with that the ball is in our court we choose to take offense or we choose to allow others their own say and ask God for wisdom in dealing with difficult, confronting questions...

I don't understand your statement. I haven't made my way through all of R&S tonight but I haven't seen a Christian bad mouth another yet.
