i believe in god, but doubt jesus was his son, i worship god, but i refuse to worship jesus, i believe in gods word, gods laws and i believe in the teachings from the O T, i havnt read the NT, ive heard about jesus miracles, and ive watched the story of jesus and how he died, i dont recall him ever saying he was god, and i cant see why people worship him as he was a god, im supposed to be a christian, but obviously im not,i think they only believe what suits them at the time, coz jesus changed gods laws, they now think they can, if im wrong correct me but jesus was a jew, jews dont think hes god, my thoughts on jesus was, he was great man like abraham, issaic, joseph and moses, but not divine, not a god, if he was a god he was a false god, meaning christianity is a false religion.

to thatguydrew, the book of john is what john says not jesus, as all of the N T its all based on other peoples stories, the O T is wrote in gods own words, god appeared to all in O T, but not in the N T, john 5-19, but jesus said, i tell you the truth, the son can do nothing alone. the son does only what he sees the father doing, because the son does whatever the father does, this clearly says, that he is gods son, but not god himself, if he ever stated he was gods son, then he sinned by lieing.

to s2a s3z, its seems i upset you with my comments on the word fake, i do apoligise for that, but i find it hard to believe that the god i worship is the same god that muslims worship, based on recent events, i dont mean to mock any religions, but i feel my question could upset a few religions, i understand that each religion are along the same beliefs, but are completly different.

to brooke h, i believe in god and i believe jesus exsisted as a person, as a person sent by god to do good things on earth, spread the word of god, i feel people may have taken him to be christ the son of god, and jesus let them believe this, and some people do believe jesus was god, again jesus let people believe this aswell, surely he should of corrected them, as he never admitted or denied, what people thought, he quoted he is son of god, but so am i, were all children og god,

Don't even categorize yourself. I'm kind of like you. I choose not to belong to any religion because I am skeptical of them all, however I believe in one true God whom you could say was the God in the Bible. I'd be tied down to Christianity if I weren't a free believer.
Hope this helps,
GK
P.S. In my full opinion, religion perverts the spirit of a man. It clouds judgment. Religion is only a man-made device to categorize who believes in what. Spirituality was a God-given device free to any person. This is all just my opinion, however.
P.S.S. It's good to think, but the thing people fail to realize is that the Bible is not so dependent on the life of Jesus as it was his birth and death. He was born from a virgin, died and rose again. If he was not born from a virgin, it would have shown is he merely a normal human like the rest of us. If he had not risen again, it would have shown he was still only a human... like the rest of us.

I'm really not sure what religion you are, but if your so preoccupied with Jesus why don't you read the New Testament?
Jesus is never professed to be a god. Christians follow the teachings of Christ. The resurrected form of the Christ figure is seen as ascending to God.
Therefore by following the example of Jesus the Christians believe they are following a way to God.
Jesus did not change any of the Judaic laws, he kept them. It was those that followed later that chose to drop various edics.
I'm not suggesting for one minute that you should follow any particular spiritual path, but before you start condemning doctrines have the integrity to research them properly first.

What if religion only serves as the boundaries to support and nourish your direct connection with God.
If you want to be a Olympic athlete you would adopt a certain way of life that would support your intentions. You would follow the advice and guidelines of other athletes who have succeeded.
I find that people spend so much time arguing about religion that they miss the point. What are all your religious practices in service of?
The only thing you will take with you when you die is how how often you delighted in, reflected, honored, and witnessed his perfection in your life and in the world around you. How at ease and in tune with his creation are you? How joyous do you feel in his company.
Far as I can see religion is the cup that holds the spiritual experience. with out the experience of his perfection, you end up with an empty cup!
So I ask you no matter what religion you are, How will you nourish your soul and celebrate the perfection of the universe. Religion can be in service of this but it can't replace it!
In Peace!

No body is asking you to convert to Islam. But you should not make comments on what your brain can not comprehend. Dude you said you don't read the Quran, that was very honest of you^_^. Then don't make comment unless you have any knowledge of Islam. I can tell you are intelligent, but don't make a fool out of yourself being too much. I wanted to report you when you said "fake" but i will let others see how arrogant you are. Christians, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindus no matter what religion we came from the same GOD. Oh wait you just called him fake.hmmm...that makes you in no religion. You fall in the group of Atheist. And that aint no religion. Peace out!!

you sound either jewish, or muslim, or just plain confused.
''i don't recall Him ever saying He was God''
well, pick up the bible, and go to the book of john. we can't always rely on movies to educate us. if you don't like the new testament, read the book of isaiah, and look up the meaning of ''Immanuel" when you see it. there are two verses in the book of isaiah that specifically call Jesus ''God with us,'' and 107 more verses that prophesy the coming of the Christ. the probability that any one person would fit the description of all 109 of these prophetic verses is about 1/100,000,000.

I say to you this: you appear very confused on many things. why do you put yourself through such torment. shake your thoughts out of your head and start fresh. give yourself all the time you need and go out and examine many other faiths etc.. Then and only then , with all the material and experience you will have accumulated can you make a definate decision. Good luck in your quest, should you decide to find the strength and go out and undertake it.

that would be jewish.
jewish people believe in god and the old testament, but don't believe in jesus as god/god's son. they merely view him as a great man who did great things and helped spread the word of god. they think he was just another normal human being who did nice things.

You don't believe that God could have a son if he wanted to?
You believe that he made the earth and everything on it but you believe he is incapable of making one pregnant.
He he
Of course the Jewish believe Jesus was full of it, someone had to kill him.
Their own leader was afraid of them because they were so worked up about killing him. Hey try telling a lynch mob they can't kill someone and you may die as well.
But we are not supposed to hold it against them they are his people.
Fine by me.
