Why is it that Christians believe that one cannot experience Christ without going through the rituals of being converted..baptised etc;
These are surely not important when you lead a Christ like Life!
Please tell me if I am wrong.

You have it wrong. Simply believing in Jesus, and calling on him is what saves you. Nothing else. Nothing else at all. There are no works, or baptism, or anything that can help you get to him. You just simply call on him.

So If you have asked Jesus into your heart, and asked him to change your life, and wash away your sins, you are a Christian.
You need to go off what God says being a Christian is, and not what man says. Men lie far too much.

With love to you through Christ Jesus,

Dusty

You are saved by by grace through faith in Christ and not by works which is what you are talking about. However the Lord will pour out rain on both the righteous and the unrighteous. Experiencing God's power does not make you a Christian as much as experiencing the life and culture and benefits of the American society does not make me an American.

You can experience healing without Jesus. Satan can heal just as easily as Jesus, did you know that?

What the devil CAN'T do, and wouldn't if he could, is cleanse you of sin and provide a place for you in heaven.

The whole idea (satan's idea, that is) is to keep your eyes off of Truth - the Way, the Truth and the Life - without which NOBODY gets to Heaven. Even doing everything right - which nobody can do (all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God) - won't get you in.

What does the devil care if your body is healed? As long as he can keep you distracted from eternity, he doesn't care if you have superhuman health or if cancer is spreading through every cell in your body. As long as he's there when the lights go out (for good) - that's his only priority.

You are correct, you can accept Christ anywhere. However the Baptism is your PUBLIC declaration that you stand with Christ and you are allowing these people to hold you ACCOUNTABLE. They can't unsave you but it's good to have people who are genuinely concerned about you and your walk with the Lord. Also they can help you in times of need or grief . Just a thought.

Real Christians do not believe this.

They understand that to accept the teachings of Jesus Christ...is what makes one a Christian.

The other things are as you say....just rituals.
