Look, i will say, If any loving powerful knowing god will send 6 billion people to hell forever, for simply not believing in something that wasn't obvious (cause if it was... they would all believe), any god that would send all these people to hell, is NOT loving at all, ok, any logical Not-jesus aslicker would know this. To those Christians... get a life you narrowminded people... "Jesus this and that" Jesus prefers suckups than?

I keep hearing that we can’t measure up to god’s standards. Or, we deserve eternal punishment. Or that everybody is a sinner and deserves god’s wrath.

Is it healthy to hold onto a big old sky daddy who, we’re told, basically thinks, “You suck!”?

We must stop the unbelievers from destroying the sanctity of our restaurants.

Leviticus 11:9-12 says:
9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

Deuteronomy 14:9-10 says:
9 These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
10 And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.

I think that learning your faith (ie. religion) from a book which has been translated by Man over and over again,is to say the least, unwise. Religious dogma causes tension and arrogance.

I am a Deist, and I just want opinions.

Are they not scared of crocodiles or they are too ignorant or perhaps it is their blind faith that nothing will happen? Are there any authorities to warn them of the consequences? The film also showed few human bodies, animals floating on the surface and cranes sitting on top eating flesh. Please reply, do the police investigate the source of these deaths, find their relatives or perhaps they themselves push away these bodies in Ganga to save the cerimonial expenses or it is the way to heaven, they otherwise believe in?

As you aren't supposed to worship other gods, surely they must exist right?
And no seance, means you can contact the dead, should you choose?

Being my 18 old self.. in the city I live in, every friday night all the tennagers come out to go DownTown to hang out by this place we dubbed "The Rock" which is located in a park somewhere near the water front area. Ive been going there for months, Ive made a lot of friends there and from what I see a majority of the kids who do travel down to the rock every friday night are either like me or they are gothic, punk, scene or just plain old kids. Its always been known that people of christian faith travel down to the rock to preach to us and its an absolute aggravation. I talk to all of them trying to explain to them that "They are simply annoying us and that we are just kids.. if we want religion we will find you." Ive tried explaing everything to them but they continue with this bullshit about how jesus didnt allow himself to bediscouraged when he preached to the people of his time. This is wrong, and very contradictory. Why do you consider this right? Are we just subordinate to you?

I mean, what do we care if God isn't written on our currency or in the pledge we say for our country? Aren't we strong enough in our faith to love God without these trifles?

Shouldn't we be respectful to those who believe differently, and just omit God from government?
Personally I think religion and government should never mix, even though I'm a strong Catholic. I actually think, symbolically, it's disturbing to put God's name on money, which sort of represents greed.

I'm not saying this to be disrespectful, just curious.
Anyone else agree? Or disagree? Why?

This Florida mother (I cringe with shame) wants to ban 80 books from her son's high school's library, mostly about homosexuality, abortion, and atheism.

"Lopez admits she hasn't read a single one of the objectionable books cover-to-cover.

"In her appeal, she quotes scripture and blames the Columbine school s, , bullies, teenage pregnancy and other ills on what she considers the removal of God from schools.

She targets literary genres ranging from reference books to short stories...."

http://www.palmbeachpost.com/localnews/content/local_news/epaper/2007/07/10/0710bookban.html

Want the cherry on top? Her own son's an atheist.

"My oldest son doesn't believe in God," she said. "I guess he kind of thinks I'm stupid."

Anyone think book-banning's gonna change that boy's mind?
