tarot readings can be used to access your subconscious mind and help you understand questions that you're dealing with. how can that be against any religious or against any god?

Your question begs another question, "Why do you ask?" Depending upon your motive, curiosity, agenda and personality, we might find a meaningful answer, not just shooting an answer and then asking significant questions later.

To be sure, divination of any kind is frowned on as sin by God. Why? Basically, God desires to have fellowship with Him, a loving fellowship wherein by the means of a love relationship we see that God is Holy, pure, and all together wonderful. We place our past, present, and future in His capable hands.

Meanwhile, Tarot cards is like a sneak preview, a forecast of our future. I suppose, depending upon the depth of the practitioner, higher powers, spirit guides will be reached with a "measure of wisdom." Seeing this is not from the Lord Jesus Christ," then what source of power have you tapped into? Venture a guess?

A loving God forbids certain practices for a reason. Until you see that Jesus Christ is the way and truth, until you repent from your sins and call upon the Lord Jesus to be saved...As the scripture says, the Christian thing is foolishness to you.

You can only walk in the Christian paradigm when you are born again. There is no other door.

Tarot readings are used as a form of divination, and in the bible it specificly denounces divination, but tells the rabbis and priests how to do divination. Kinda Hypocritical you think? By the way Divination is the use of things to learn of what the future has in store for you. Becareful who gives you the reading some people can be great at the cards but for some reason include other areas of knowledge in it and distort the meaning of the reading. But yes Tarot cards are against God because they try to open people up to the future and only God is supposed to know the future.

I'm a christian, but I know that alot of christian beliefs are wrong. The thing with religion is that it's basically people's OWN beliefs and opinions rather than what's actually true.

While I don't believe in commercial psychics and tarot readings, I do belive that we all are psychic in the sense that we all have dreams, gut feelings, and other senses that tells us things. This happens on the ordinary and is part of our natural psychic ability. After all, we are a part of God, so we do have the psychic ability in a restricted sense. It's just that materialistic people don't realize it because they are too in touch with their human nature, and therefore reject anything that can't be seen or proven at face value.

I DOUBT that the part of the bible which talks about anything that involves spirituism is sin, is true.

If that's the case, believing in God is a sin in itself and how could that be? He is not present here in the material world, so the only way to contact him is through spirituality. That's what people fail to realise.

The reason why the bible says that spiritism is a sin is because people abuse it and put their trusts and beliefs in other people, who could lead them astray from the path of God if they have evil intentions. That's the reason why the bible said it's a sin because you are only supposed to put your trust in God, not man.

On the other hand, being psychic is not a sin, because it's a part of our nature. We all have the 6th sense but just need to tap into it more. That way, the voice of God will be clearer to us and we won't have to look for any one else for answers, which may be false and misleading.

That's the TRUTH on that deal.

Tarot cards became "evil" when the early church campaigned against the old pagan ways to promote their own religion. Ever wonder why Satan, this beautiful angel of the Old Testament is portrayed as a guy with horns and cloven feet? The pagan fertility god was portrayed as "the devil" and that's what has persisted.

If you are a Christian who believes in the propaganda of the Church post 11th century, yes...tarot cards are "against God" but in the true historic sense? No.

Spirituality is born from a personal occurrence with a divine, psychic or mystical experience of one form or another which inevitably connects a person to All that Is/God/Goddess/Allah/Great Spirit /whatever you want to call it.

Religion is second hand opinion of someone else’s divine experience. I think you will find that religions, and especially fanatical religions, tend to separate and divide people, while spirituality brings people together.

Thank God that Spirituality is on the increase!

I don't think there is anything in the Bible about Tarot readings. There have been many forms of divination over the centuries. Many Catholic and Eastern Orthodox women read coffee grounds or tea leaves in the bottom of a cup after the beverage has been drunk. Tarot, Rune, etc. is just another form of the same.

Against yourself actually. Who can fight against God? Why jump through all these different hoops when you can ask the living God for an answer?

Tarot, astrology, crystal ball, palm reading, praying to saints, swallowing mantras, spells, chants and enchantments; gift and flower alters, I Ching, potions and brews; building idols, divination, channeling, and many such things are done by those who have no direct verbal access to the only living God through Christ Jesus.

Yes. I go to God about my future. Going to tarot card readers is going to other gods & is against the 1st of Gods commandments.

Strictly speaking, Tarot readings are a form of divination. They are not magick, nor are they associated with any particular religion (though the more open-minded religions are more likely to use them.)

I suppose it depends on what Christian dogma has to say about divination.
