Fear does lead to anger leads to hate leads to suffering. Think about it. Fear keeps you from letting go of prejudices. Fear keeps you from being happy. Fear keeps you from living the life you love. Fear keeps you from asking that girl out you've been wanting to date. Fear is the mindkiller.

How will you get rid of your fear?

I will not fear
Fear is the mindkiller,
Fear is the little death
That brings total Oblivion
I will permit my fear to pass
Over me and through me
And where it has gone
I will turn the inner eye
Nothing will be there
Only I will remain.

I mean if they really led a good life and were good people
But they also didn't believe in God.
or maybe they believed in god but didn't agree with him.
they just followed their conscience rather than a bible

22 Acacia avenue... Just kidding.

Anyways, I don't know what to tell you. Words can only do so much. I've been on that road for a long time and I know that someone saying it will be better or this and that doesn't really help.

Someone typing words is even less effective.

Just know that someone hears you and understands a little how you feel. I wish I could create for you sunny skies and warm days but I cannot.

The only advice I can give is this:

Muster up what will and motivation you can and kick some ****! Start with the small things and begin making changes. Start changing things that make your life suck.

From there work up to the big things.

If you need forgiveness then ask. If you need to forgive then do so.

Isn't it time we all stop our pagan worshipping and go back to the only true religion? I think everyone should be offered amnesty and a chance to come back

If our ability to judge right from wrong is inadequate, then why does he hold us accountable for using bad judgement?
If he allows evil acts to be foregiven, and often allows innocent people to suffer, why do Christians say that we are, suddenly, not able to condemn the wrong that we see?
Does he expect us to PRETEND that we don't notice?

I am not a Mormon, I am not even sure if I should have asked the question to Mormons or members of the Church of Latter day Saints. So I hope do not offend.

Recently I got into a knock down drag out argument with a "God fearing Christen" over how terrible Mormons where especially that "Bleeding the Beast" idea they hold dear. I tried to correct them that this practice much like Polygamy is practiced primarily by the Fundamentalist Church of Latter day Saints and is not reflective on the Mormon community as a whole. Still this made me wonder who the general church feels of these practices and splinter groups.

Any answer would be appreciated.

I really am, but I wish to hear more from you. Here is the question.
What was the spark that ignited the idea of converting to Islam. Or was it a long term thinking.
P.S. I had my own spark to start practice Islam when I was 10 yrs old with a simple question to my father "Why can't I hear the Azan", he replied "because you don't pray" and that was it.

This thought came into my head... if we had to have a picture of ourselves for an avatar and others could identify us would people be as willing to speak their minds in this section? Or, do you speak anonymously and would never want someone you know to be able to identify you and your beliefs here in R&S?

Are you allowed to marry outside of your faith...{not the temple ceremony} or does your ward/bishop discourage that kind of thing?

Not trolling, bashing, or looking to start an argument...{why do I always feel the need to put a disclaimer on these questions?}

His way of correcting the mistakes that were occuring with the Christians of Corinth? Wasn't he trying to get them to unify under one uniform doctrine? isn't he trying to get them to follow his teachings? 1 Cor 3:10, I would just like some thoughts on this?

Hopefully no rude answers♥

I have a problem understanding how someone who kills a child or is a child molester is allowed to go to Heaven as long as they repent and are baptized. I would like some serious answers. I believe in God but there are some things I don't understand.

One case of many in the world -What possible reason would he not answer prayers by many people including the righteous and people of great faith (even the pope) to help bring back Madeleine Mccann, the little missing girl.
You may say it is because the people who took her had free will. Does this mean that God can never intervene then and prayer is pointless.
It claims in the bible that the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective - the pope is on the case. It claims that you don't get what you want when you pray because you want to spend it on your own selfish desires - this is not the case here. It claims if you have faith as small as a mustard seed you can say to this mountain move and it will move - people of great faith are praying and nothing happens.

"When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive, And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife; Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house, and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails; "

can any one shed light on this?

...believers will be changed (Gr. allasso - to change, to exchange one thing for another, to transform) "In a moment, in the TWINKLING OF AN EYE, at the last trumpet" (verse 52, caps for emphasis) at the resurrection of the dead.

That being the case, what is the purpose of sanctification in the life of a Christian, as it appears that it is only temporary because the Lord will transform us all in the end, anyhow ?

Please support your answers with appropriate Scripture references.

Thanks in advance for all answers. May the Lord bless you.

Do you believe that God could take away a talent, such as your voice, or gift of singing, because it could have lead to an immoral lifestyle or a path/road that one may not have been able to resist the temptation, and God knew this?
