We must stop the unbelievers from destroying the sanctity of our restaurants.
Leviticus 11:9-12 says:
9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.
Deuteronomy 14:9-10 says:
9 These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
10 And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.

Jesus has freed us to eat anything and bless it( before eating)
By the way he does not hate anything he made. God is love.

LOL....He doesn't hate shrimp - after all, why would he create something that he hates! His whole point was to seperate a nation from all of the other nations, they would be identified by their cleanness, so he told them the foods to avoid. If you notice most of those animals that he told them to avoid were scavengers. (People who have serious food allergies are told to avoid those types of animals today because they'll send people into an allergic reaction.) If you read in the Greek scriptures after Jesus was resurrected, these laws were done away with and anyone could eat anything (except for blood) and still be considered clean.

A GREAT many of the Levitical Laws were written as a way of dealing with "Health Issues" and this ultimately is ONE OF THEM. At that time, (and up until the 1950-60's) we didn't truly understand the role of bacteria and germs upon people and how disease was spread by them, especially virus'. However, 3,000 years before we discovered all of these killers and how they operated, God gave the Israelites to "separate their sick from out from amongst their well." Meaning they were supposed to quarantine the ill over 3,000 years before we knew about GERMS. This is just one example, there are dozens of others.
Seafood can carry Listeria and other Food Poisonings (food born illnesses) that can sicken and sometimes kill. There were no penicillins at this time, so you just hoped for the best and waited it out and saw if you lived or not. However, if you KNEW what was making people sick, why not just tell them NOT TO EAT IT? Same way with Pork, if undercooked it can pass along trichinosis.
