There is absolutely no evidence suggesting a genetic cause for homosexuality, in spite of several studies specifically aimed at finding such a connection. Sexuality develops through early childhood experience. No-one is born homosexual or heterosexual.

Like Autism. Yes, they can find a cure. I'm not sure if homosexuals would use it. You may be missing a greater conundrum: How did the defective gene(s) get into the fetus to begin with? After all, homosexuals can't reproduce with themselves. lol.

I think Genetic disorder is incorrect. Downs syndrome is a genetic disorder. Albinoism is a genetic disorder. A sixth finger is a Genetic Disorder. Homosexuality is Behavioral. Certainly Some people seem more biologically predisposed to Homosexuality but it may or may not have anything to Do with Genetics.
Homosexuality may be less of a 'cure' issue and more like alcoholism. Yes some people seem more biologically predisposed to alcoholism but their self discipline really dictates whether they will continue that lifestyle. You understand they will always be alcoholics they simply choose to abstain.

Won't it be fun when God goes on American Idol (as a guest producer) to explain a few things:
"Homosexuality was created as a way of controlling the population, not expecting you with free will to use it as a reason to hate because you translated The Word into English improperly to make it suit your needs."
"And speaking of that, you can now order for free, a copy of The Original Word, in all languages, on secure audio CD, so it can never be tampered with again."
"It is still encouraged that the homosexuals who are childless, but desire children, continue in this most admirable practice of adopting the irresponsibly borne offspring of the masses."
"Naturally, you are free to tamper further with the codes that are established in your DNA, and see to what extent hatred will take you as you damage that which was always, ever will be, and remains: PERFECT."
"Blessings to all. Time for a commercial break -- Thanks for your attention."
So, to answer your questions: Yes. Unknown. Yes.

The same problem comes up if they could be turned into heterosexuals. They still have to deal with sexual desires. It's the sexually immoral behavior which is the issue. There's plently of sexually immoral behavior among heterosexuals as well.
Heb 13:4 "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."

Well....is being blonde a genetic disorder? Would anyone try and "cure" that if it were an unwanted trait?
Homosexuality is a naturally occurring phenomenon in human populations, since "homosexuals" do not reproduce, at least genetically.
It doesn't need to be "cured", and I have a feeling it would be difficult to isolate genetically.

It's not a genetic disorder. It's a lifestyle choice. God created us in His image and he created woman for man; no other combination. Homosexuality is a sin, just as adultery is.

It isn't... A genetic disorder is a disease caused by abnormalities in genes or chromosomes. If homosexuality was caused by this we would know.
