Well, we know that the end times doesn't mean the end of the world or mankind, just the end of this evil system of things, the unrighteous who turn their backs on God, and satans control over it. That we are all looking forward to.

We know from Scriptures that A)2 Pet. 3:9: “Jehovah . . . is patient with you because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.”

He also knows how we are made B)Ps. 103:14 For he himself well knows the formation of us, Remembering that we are dust.

Also, the preaching work is not yet completed to His satisfaction yet. We know we are DEEP in the end times, but we're still looking for those with a humble, hungry heart. They're still out there waiting.

It also gives us time to build our strength, resolve and faith. We can, for example, continue to cultivate vital Christian qualities as well as share the good news with many more than would otherwise have been possible. If we stay awake, Jehovah will find us “spotless and unblemished and in peace” at the end of this system of things

I DO know he can't do it alone. He called on ALL Americans to step up, be accountable and make an effort. I never felt that King George had the public's best interest in mind; he simply did what was good for George, or George's ego or George's friends. I get the sense that Mr. Obama puts country before all else and expects us to do the same. America could be a great leading power but like that saying says: with great power comes great responsibility. If Mr. Obama can remain neutral about partisan issues, remind his fellow politicians that they were hired to do the will of the people and inspire the nation to follow his sensible steady lead, I think we will find ourselves, once again, a respected nation. At least that's what I hope happens. Here's to hoping!

Why do you, as a Jehovah Witness, wish for God to bring about the end times sooner? Your faith teaches you that you could lose your salvation during those perilous times. Also, you do not believe in a literal return of Christ as you think that he returned in invisible form in the 1914. However, your own Watchtower Society predicted that he would return visibly in 1914, but when He didn't they just claimed he returned invisibly. But, back to my question. Why do you wish for such hard and terrible times to come so your faith can be put up to the ultimate test?

I am grateful that God's grace is succifient for me in my weaknesses and that no performance of mine increases the chances of God's favor. If it were up to faith + works + going door to door and going to JW Bible studies, noone would make it. James 2:23 Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

The end of the world has already been pre-determined but we should always trust in the timing of a being who has all wisdom, all knowledge, and perfect love for all his children. If I'm wrong and the end has not already been pre-determined before the very foundations of the world, then it's because he wants mankind to have every chance to change or repent, I believe. God bless.

Hope this helps.

What's your hurry, Debbie? As old as the universe is, humans have only existed for a tiny fraction of that time. Why should Deity want to put a stop to it just when things start to get interesting? Deity will get around to it in good time.

Because it is not time yet. Things can't just happen out of the blue. Prophecies have to happen in order.

Even though some prophecies are fulfilling now, it is nowhere near time for the world to end yet.

Why are you in such a rush to die?

Does the here and now mean nothing?

Live the life you have here and now the way God would want you to, full of faith, hope, love, charity, appreciation and gratitude for all you have while you are here.... stop grumbling and complaining about how the end is taking so long!

Life is short already.

"So long..."?

Remember 2 Peter 3:8-10!

But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.

-

This is saying that God is longsuffering (patient) towards those who are perishing...waiting for them to see their sinfulness and repent and believe in Jesus Christ so that they may be saved!

If Christ came back today, then all who are non-Christians would be doomed to hell for all eternity.

God is patient with them...

And MORESO...God is patient with His Church...the Christians, who are to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth, even as He comissioned them to!

If we, as Christians, would simply be obedient to the Great Commission...and preach the Gospel to the ends of the earth...THEN Jesus Christ would return!

Therefore:
Christians: Be bold and proclaim the Gospel, looking for the coming of the Lord (which is very soon)

Non-Christians: Behold the patience of our God, who does not instantanesously send you to hell, but allows you to breath each breath...and gives you AMPLE opportunity to repent and believe in the Gospel and so be saved. (So that later, when you are burning in the horrific flames of hell, you cannot say, "Why didn't someone warn me?". Today, by reading this, you are warned.)

Selah.

Quit will all these questions about the end times. Instead, how about spending your energy with a Christian purpose, like helping others. Read the scriptures which say occupy until he comes, whatever your hands find to do, do it. Those are our purpose, not pleading for the end of the world.

There's no god that's going to bring the end of times. If there is going to an end of times, it'll be brought on earth by humans themselves, or otherwise some very big meteorite or something like that.
If such disaster will be brought upon us by humans, it's most likely to be closely related to religion. But it will not be god doing it, it will be religious madmen.
