I understand your frustration. It's like trying to convince someone that animals can't talk but they keep citing Disney films as their source.

Very little in sexuality is a choice, much of it is in your genetic makeup or however your body is designed. I agree with you completely that homosexuality is not a choice and that people ignore science. I recently heard on CNN that they concluded from early on when your a little kid people can instantly tell whether you will be straight gay or whatever. Its part of who you are not what you choose to become, scientists in that case however have dismissed it mainly because the group that did the research has alot of homosexual people in it. And they called the researched bias and impossible for it to be true. But at least the psychiatrists are begining to change, they are reforming their stance on homosexuals by saying that you can no longer try to change a persons sexuality and this is largely because sexuality is not a mental disorder.
P.S. In the ancient world, being bisexual was expected and common all over, the only part of homosexual actions that they didnt approve of was that a guy shouldnt be pentrated other then that they fully expected people to be bisexual and do things with people of the same gender. They also probably realised more that it was part of nature and that we didnt have a choice which side if any we had more attraction to. In modern times we are just begining to get back to that kind of thinking, slowly, but maybe we will be fully accepting of it and treat it better than our ancestors did.

I do not agree with your analogies, but I do feel it is a choice for some one to pursue a homosexual relationship. Perhaps the lust or feelings that initiated the reaction were not by choice, but they did choose to *act* on that choice.
As for your insults, I think we could all do without those. I fear for our world too, but perhaps not in the same way as you. How will we ever get anywhere in this world when people continue to lack the tolerance for anything? Not only for other people's sexual preference, but also for their religion and beliefs.
Have a good day.

You fear for the world because people believe that homosexuality is a choice? You scare easy!! It doesn't matter if it's a choice or inborn into them. Actions are ALL a matter of choice.. If a person makes a choice to defy God and live in sin (It doesn't matter what that sin is. You could live as a killer for hire, it would be the same thing) they are making a choice to do so. Hey, you can train yourself to use your left hand if you are right handed, many amputees do just that... Jim

Writing is a choice, moreover with which hand is also a choice which can be corrected.
If someone commands you to write with a certain hand and you pick up a pencil/pen with the wrong hand you have not obeyed that command.
In the same manner, when someone chooses to indulge in physical relations with someone other than who they are commanded by God (a spouse [Hebrews 13:4] of the opposite gender [Genesis 2:24] preferably of the same beliefs [2 Corinthians 6:14]) they have not obeyed that command of God.
This of course is irrelevant for those who do not follow the God of the Bible.

It sure is funny to me that with every scientific idea there is always pros and cons among the educated about what is fact. If you are relying on science to explain stuff to you then you are a hopeless cause.
when a bunch of NASA scientist said it was impossible for a piece of foam to make a hole in the space shuttle then tested it and it made a huge hole 7 people died trusting their science I dont believe non of them

I don't doubt that in many cases of homosexuality it is not a choice. That doesn't make it any less of a sin. Every person on Earth is somehow spiritually tested with temptations. Homosexuality is one of them. Those people need to resists that temptation. Will they be unhappy sometimes because they aren't getting what they want? Sure....but greater will their reward be in heaven!
The sin isnt "being" homosexual, its having sexual relations with someone of the same gender or having a gay marriage.
Hope that shines some light on the situation.
God bless!

You are joking right? I mean to pretend to be smart and then draw a comparison as ridiculous as that? We don't and can't "choose" things like hair color, skin color, etc... But, no matter whether or not you "think" (remember it's your opinion, not fact) that homosexuals have no choice, you ALWAYS have a choice as to who you "sleep" with. Maybe they do have a natural tendency to be attracted to the same sex, that doesn't make it normal. Some people are born blind, that doesn't make it normal either. I don't care what your natural tendencies are, just stop trying to make me accept the homosexual agenda. Do what you want in private, but you will never convince "intellegent" people that it is either "normal" or "natural".

first off..... people are entitled to their own opinion. as you are to say what you want. don't tell people how to think or that what they think is a danger to the future of our species. whether it be right or wrong. you can disagree with them all you want. as they disagree with u. neither of u should try and say what is right and wrong. what is right for u is right for u. what is right for them is right for them. if anyone tries to tell u that whatever u believe or do is wrong, simply acknowledge that they are a free person to believe what they want. you are happy with urself.

Don't cry, because everybody don't condone your choice of lifestyle. Science has nothing to do with a person being a queer, no more than a child molester, molesting children, nor a serial killer on a killing spree, it is a choice. I didn't have to be a Christian to know that.

so basically, if you were standing infront of a man and a woman both equally attractive and similar in personality (like the guy is a wonderful person that would treat you like royalty and the woman is just as good) you're trying to tell me that it's not your choice to choose the woman over the man? there is a choice. Like you may want to believe (there's that word oddly enough) that you didn't choose to be gay but i'm pretty sure it's just personal preferance. Like i would rather eat hamburgers instead of hotdogs... i wasn't born that way it's just something i enjoy more. And EVERYONE is drawn to pleasure but since sex is the most intense desire we find what it is we enjoy most relative to those tendancies and we stick with them. I think it is more of psychology thing rather than an innate thing (nuture VS nature). There is no gay-gene, sorry.
this world has already gone to hell, with or without religion.
