I am more in favor of treating people as you wish to be treated. For example, I would not stone a woman for engages in relations before she was married. Why because it fails the first test. Politics and religion don't have to be in close collaboration, loving, respecting and listening to each other is law enough for me!

Close collaboration? Christianity is all about sticking to your beliefs and not bending. Politics is all about compromise. In the case of Christians ,like say Pat Robertson running for political office, I think that is so wrong. The calling to win people to God is a much higher calling than the presidency or any political office.

Because there are special interest groups -
lobbyists with lots and lots of money - who are having laws pushed through that will
take away the freedoms of both speech and religious practice from American citizens. The one bill is called "HR1592 or
S-1105"; this is called the "thought crimes bill" and also called the "most dangerous legislation ever introduced in American History". For good reason.
Under the guise of stopping hate crimes,
this bill will make it illegal to teach or for a priest or pastor to preach a sermon in the Churches that include Romans or 1Corinthians. This is because these are the two main points in the Bible that speak out against homosexuality.
If you are a bank robber, the last thing you want to see is the spotlight of the police shining down at you. Same thing here. These folks cannot stand that light in their
eyes. It is very uncomfortable for them.
They want to get rid of the light, and also silence all those who are of faith.
This kind of legislation also opens doors for children to be taken from parents who will not teach their children its okay to be
homosexual. This is considered "hateful"
in the bill. It is legislation that makes it a
crime if the authorites believe you are "thinking hatefully". In fact, it makes giving out a little Bible pamphlet to a gay guy the exact same crime as if you dragged him out and beat him bloody, leaving him for dead. Same exact crime.
Our closest city, Philadelphia, is where two grandmoms were arrested and charged with a hate crime. Do you know who they
beat bloody? Nobody. They did the same thing they have done for the past 30 years, every sunday: they hand out little mini-bibles in front of their church, and say "have a God-blessed day, honey". They were arrested, fingerprinted, changed to prison garb, and thrown into general population of the County Prison. They await 47 years in prison, each, which is the rest of their lives.
One of the old women said that a woman
who was in jail awaiting to be moved to a federal prison because she was convicted of murder, was more compassionate to her than the arresting police officers. They were arrested under the same exact bill,
except the state level of it; what they want to do is federalize this type of "crime".
This is why, friend. They cannot force those of faith to silence their God, or His
Sacred Word. Its not gonna happen. I hope they are building lots more prisons, because they are gonna need them, since this Nation is majority-Christian.
This bill and others are a blatent attempt
to persecute those of faith. To throw salt in the wound, they now wish to do like they are in California and Mass. - where they teach gay sex to first grade children.
Even though there are people who are against such things. When prayer was removed from the schools, the argument was that its because not everyone believes in prayer or God, so keep that stuff at home. Okay, I will buy that, but they need to keep their gay sex at home, as well.
I believe its called fairness; I believe its called equality.
However, this bill intoduced is about providing elevated status for homosexuals and crossdressers. That means the victims of the VATech murders would only be deemed "second tier" victims, since they were not gays who were being targeted.
In California, any boy who says he is gay can now shower and dress in the same facilities as the girls, and the girls must undress there along with him, or they fail the school year. Does this sound fair or equal to you?
I see this thing at some point coming to a head; no person of faith will deny their God if they are truly Christian.
And most of us are sick to death with the idea of teaching kindergarteners that "Heather has two mommys". A lie is a lie is a lie. The truth is that "Heather" has a mommy AND A DADDY. Where is daddy?
That would be the question.
They call Christianity a fairy tale and then teach kids that two women can have a child.
Now theres a fairy tale, but unfortunately,
even if the surgeon general himself said it was impossible, they would simply try to get the man fired; they are working hard at the task, day and night, to make wrong right and to make right, wrong. Up is down and in is out, I suppose, also.
I can see civil war coming.

I think the concept of "hate" and "haters" is one created by modern day liberals. I believe that we can disagree with one another without hatred and not have to compromise our own beliefs. Because I don't agree with same-sex marriage for instance, I must be a "hater" of individuals that choose to live a homosexual lifestyle. Untrue!
I recognize that I am by no means perfect and do all that I can do to stay on the right track to heaven. I hope to share what I know with others so that they may get there also. I don't hate those that choose not to listen and instead criticize. I actually feel sympathy.

As Jesus would say give unto Cesar what is Cesar's but give unto god what is Gods. Politics and religion does not mix but I will obey man's law as long as it does not conflict with god's law. Our brothers the Muslims some have taken up arms to defend themselves but it would be wrong for Americans to place them all as violent, I would say that our country has been the most violent with the innocent slaughter of people. What happened to Jesus words to love your enemy? Yes we can all improve.

As long as men are prideful and full of themselves and refuse the intsruction from God, it's not gonna happen, Children hate instruction. But it's a good thought. They hated Jesus too, nothing has changed.

Religion in proper practice is to keep yourself unspotted of the world, and to care for orphans and widows . .. keeping the commandments . .. as it is written in the Epistle of the Apostle Saint James . .. This clearly is very unlike politics in any form i know it . .. religion is LOVE . .. politics seems mostly about power mongering among the nations . .. but in CHRIST those who would be leader shall be servant of all . ..
-LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.

RELIGION, BAH HUM BUG!!! I don't want to be religious. I want to be a real Christian and do what Christ did. I want to make people think about what they are doing. let them decide if it is right. Jesus did not judge people. He merely questioned thier actions. Saying; "You people who think you are holy are you really?" Saying "We should obey the Law of the land and be good to one another and love God while we do it." Man why can't someone like him make the law?

It only occurs in the induvidual to stop hating. To stop the cycle would to be brainwashing everyone or somehow killing everyone that discriminates against religion. Very hard indeed. Somehow I don't think it would happen.
