Why can't they both pray and take medicine? Faulty either/or.

Actually, medicine ≠ science. Rather, it's a subset of science if you want to use mathematical parlance. And Christians don't have any problem with operational science. which is based on experiments that observable, testable, and repeatable, but rather only with philosophical assumptions such as methodological naturalism (which is not deducible by the experimental method) that are passed off as "good science".

Ah, Christianity and science are not mutually exclusive. Now, Christian Science, however, is not Christian, and they're the ones who don't want medicine. So please do define the terms when you ask questions.

I mean, shoot -- there are Christian physicians -- MDs -- out here, you know.

God gives physicians, both Christiand and non-Christians, the power to heal through their vocation of doctor. And do I care if my doc is Christian, pagan or any other thing? Absolutely not. It matters not.

Do I care if I buy my groceries from a Muslim grocer or a CHristian one? I want the best food. That's where I go. (Which, ofttimes, BTW, is at the Muslim-owned store!)

Medicine='pharmakeia', translated in the KJV(Gal. 5)as 'witchcraft'.
Science has tried to make men into gods, hence most people go to 'doctors' instead of the True healer.
BTW, I have been delivered from headaches through prayer and fasting, and have not had one headache since that deliverance 1 1/2 years ago.

I do both. Sometimes, I will ask God "Why?". God gives the answer.

A friend of mine had a horrible headache one evening. She was going to stay home this Sunday Night. The Lord told her to go to church anyway. She unwillingly obeyed. The Pastor prayed for the congregation & asked about someone with a headache. With the prayer, my friends headache went completely away. So, then the Pastor had those who God healed to stand up & testify. So, she did.

Sometimes God lets us suffer a headache for his own purposes, to get our attention, & possible to repent of something. Then when one gives the headache to God in prayer, the headache dissipitates. Sometimes one has to suffer a while because of certain reasons.

Christians and Christian Scientist are 2 different things. Christians will take medicine and pray if it gets bad enough. Christian Scientists refuse medical care and rely only on spiritualism to heal them.

Yeah, and when we Christians want to go anywhere, we ask God to magically transport us to our desired destination, saves a lot on gas that way. Because cars are inventions of man.

And we cover ourselves with leaves, because science has been used in the making of today's fabrics. Whoohoo.

Most normal people believe in Science. Yes, most of us take aspirin. We go to the doctor and the dentist.
We have operations if we need to do so.
There are a very few sects who believe in holistic and/or homeopathic medicine.

Whhoooo to you, too.
