I mean, why do mainstream Christians avoid talking about Judgment Day, Hell, Satan, etc?

They've already taken down the link on the Yahoo! homepage, pretty soon you won't be able to access it at all. I heard this from a top Yahoo! official, that they're shutting down answers. Not enough interest, the workers aren't working and doing their jobs like they should, even w/ adverts on the site they're still not even breaking even with this. Well, ask your last questions before it's too late. (and the reason why i asked this in R&S is because i know some people worship this site)

Ok I became a Christian in december. I wanted to get involved with the church and do as many things as I could to serve the Lord. Well life cercumstances has come up and my life is going into a new direction. I have to go back to work and work a lot of hours to get out of my parents house. Im organizing my rooms and the garage, and freecycling stuff in the process, my son is in special ed and im trying to decide to homeschool him or not. my daughter screams 24/7 most of the time she does it to think shes funny. My husband got a dream job which the reality of it was it was like every other job he has to work from the bottom to get to the top. So in the process i cant go to bible study at the church because when he works i have to pick him whenever he calls and that remains a mystery until he calls. and these christians i know are telling me i need to focus on God and im making excuses. here is my question why is it when you become sorta friends with Christians they think that you have all this time in the world to do bible study with them? and do a lot for the church and if you dont tell them everything, they think that you arent doing anything for God?

Given the growing problem of binge drinking on campuses, do u think its time to drop the drinking age below 21?

Decriminalizing drinking by kids of 18 and older will bring their alcohol consumption out from hiding to where parents and adults can monitor it and teach responsibility without conflict.

He says he's with you always but won't answer your prayers. He says no weapons against you shall prosper, they cut john head off. He doesn't give you justice against your ennemies. and so on. You have to be so spiritual to receive material blessings from Him.

...and you want to give, say, five dollars as your offering, but you only have a ten dollar bill, is it okay to put the ten dollar bill in the plate and take five dollars worth of change out of the collection plate?

There was one time my dad wanted to give ten dollars, but only had a twenty, and he ended up giving the twenty because he thought it would be tacky to take change out of the collection plate.

Is their a Chruch out there using all Five Ministries?
If so I want to know, It is a great desire to be functioning in all areas of ministry and some churches only have a few some do not belive we need all five, but i am wandering if theri is a Church who is using or training people in alll areas?

why did the lord have to mark him so that others would not harm him if adam and eve were the first two people, and there two sons able and cane, who were these others the lord was protecting cane from. Gen 4:15 who were all these other people? did god create more people than just Adam and Eve?. or is it adam and eve were granted the rights to live in his presence in the garden of eden , also right after he created the uneverse human rebelion began gen 3;11. all this lead to the great flood. again who were all these people and where did they come from. is that they don't accept that when someones born a certain way they try to twist them into something they are not. A friend of mine was raised christian and found out he is gay. Why would someone raised a christian just decide they are gay? of course he struggles so much juggling between these two and i really feel for him; why can't god accept him the way he is? why would "god" damn this person who loves him but "god" made him this way?

Why exactly is homosexuality a sin? why? it helps keep overpopulation under control and contains certain genetics inside a group of people. Why would god condemn a man loving a man or a woman loving a woman? IMO it's not diffrent then straight love and they could adopt children that have no homes.

Just answer me this; Why exactly, does god dislike the sin of homosexuality? How does it hurt humanity or him.

Atheists, believe it or not, some Christians are actually people who try to follow Christ's teaching of love for their neighbor. These people are called saints. I recommend reading about them. Saint Francis is a good example of one, but there are many other good examples.

Loving your neighbor doesn't mean not calling a sin a sin. It's possible to love the sinner, but not condone the sin. Because sin leads people to the final spiritual death of being eternally separated from God, it would be very unloving to encourage someone to stay in a state of mortal sin.

Jane:Look here Ally,this rock is alive.

Ally:umm Jane,are u feeling ok?

Jane:of course but listen,this rock is alive.

Ally:Jane,rocks are not alive.they don't breathe and stuff that living creatures do.

Jane:of course this rock breathes and has all the characterstics that u and i do!

Ally:ok then,why don't u prove it? tell the rock to jump onto my hand or something?

Jane:why must u always rely on PROOF?! everything that science says is not correct! this rock doesn't have to PROVE itself! u must have FAITH!



Ally:you can't expect me to develop such a faith based on nothing! you'll have to give me some evidence that the rock actually is alive before i can believe in that! only if i can believe in that can i have faith! i agree that scientific evidence may not be perfect but isn't SOME evidence better than NO evidence??!

Sara:but what proof do u have?

Ally:isn't your very existence on earth proof enough?

Sara:if i am to believe in God,u'll have to give me some proof which can't already be explained by science.

Ally:why is that so?

Sara:if people don't accept the proof that He already gives,because it can be explained by science,shouldn't he,as a last resort,use his supernatural powers to prove his existence?doing this won't cost him anything and if he really does love all people and wants everyone to realise the path to salvation,why won't he take this small trouble to prove himself? or can't he be bothered? if so,does he really love everybody?



Ally:you are wrong to expect such things from God.He doesn't need to prove Himself.u must have FAITH.
