Most of sinful and alchohlic christians are being afflicted by God with STD (Sexually transmitted diseases) including AIDS and Hepatitis etc. Why not you tell your god that Jesus has paid the price and do not afflict us due out sins and crimes??? Or your sins and crimes exceeded than price paid?

Is Allah really a moon God? My own personal view, NO. Just because something sounds similar doesn't mean it's exactly the same. Take their, they're, and there. Sounds same, all meaning differently. Also plane, plain, and plane (angle). Did it get through to anyone yet?

There are ongoing voter's education seminars in our Churches to educate people to exercise their right of suffrage responsible and not be swayed by money, power or debt of gratitude. is this line of thinking or teaching from the Church still valid for modern Catholics?

This is a fundemental point of the arguement smokers have with non smokers. Our rights as smokers are being erroded away so gradually that the powers that be hope we dont notice our freedoms dissappearing. As smokers can lose their freedom so can nonsmokers with various legislation. So let me say as a smoker I dont see why we should be victimised and humiliated because of our choice. I would rather my teenage daughter (if I had one) go with a smoker than a guy who wants to get what he wants no matter what. You know a lot of detectives smoke when they enter a murder scene they have to investigate because a body left for 1 or 2 weeks is putrid. Many soldiers do because when the guy you are running beside gets his head blown off, it settles your nerves in a funny kind of way. Besides if every smoker gave up in this country today , who's going to foot the bill for lost revenue, petrol will rise , alchohol, income tax and the gst to begin with. Opinions please.

If it was fresh water how did the salt water fish survive if salt or brackish waters how did the fresh water fish survive?
How did the bottom dwelling Crustations and Shell Fish survive the sudden increase in water pressure or the Corals survive the sudden depth changes and increased sedimentation??
The only answer was that Noah must have had huge oxygenated aquariums on board the Ark for every aquatic creature or the whole story is bunkem.
Which is more likely?

When you are baptized, all your sins are washed away, correct? It is supposed to represent being born again, correct? So if I wait till i get cancer and am on my death bed, (i know i could die through some accident at any given moment, but just follow this logic for now), to get baptized, is this a surefire ticket to heaven? That means I could be like one of the most evil bassturds to ever walk the earth, so long as I cop out at the end right?

An example:
Typical Question: Why does God allow suffering?
Christian: Because people make the wrong choices with free will.
Atheist: How does that explain children born with AIDS or people dying in natural disasters (hurricanes/earthquakes etc)?
Me: How did the parent get AIDS in the first place? Why do people choose to live in areas prone to natural disasters?

Very few atheists on this site seem to consider that free will is universal and the choices of other people affect other people.

Your opinions on this subject would be appriciated.

For example, they claim that Genesis and the story of Noah's flood should be read literally, but if you give them a passage like Matthew 16:28, which in its literal interpretation indicates that Jesus should have returned during the lifetime of the apostles, they will claim that this is meant in another sense. Another example is in the first book of Revelations, which states that the Appocalypse must "shortly come to pass" - clearly anyone believing that this book is accurate must interpret the word "shortly" in a meaning far from its normal literal sense. So do such Christians have any non-arbitrary way of deciding which passages should be read literally and which should not?
