Only the roman catholic ones aren't supposed to have any. It doesn't say in the bible, just another bit of b/s dreamed up by the catholic church, just like the pope being infallible.

No one is supposed to have sex outside of marriage (Colossians 3:5). Nuns and some priests voluntarily renounce marriage in order to better devote themselves to the affairs of the Lord (Matthew 19:12; 1 Corinthians 7:32-35). Other priests are married and have sex with their wives (yes, contrary to popular belief, the Catholic Church DOES have married priests).

The Bible doesn't say that. There are a couple of verses that talk about people who are so devoted to God that they haven't got room for a husband or wife, but those people are rare.
There never was any reference that I know of to the notion that priest could not marry, and I don't remember ever having read about any such thing as nuns. It'a all Catholic invention.
Now, Catholic priests and nuns according to their doctrine, are supposed to be completely celibate, in order to give their lives completely to God. It hasn't worked very well, as we see. There have even been popes with illegitimate children.
But there is no reasoning with them. They have their tradition, and they're sticking to it.
May God have mercy on them, and on all of us.

Originally priests etc were able to be married, btu over time the Catholic church felt that the vow of chastity would help bring people closer to God.....many priests nad nuns and religious people do find this....Priests admit that they have thoughts like anyone else, but they have to pray more to get over it which brings them closer to God...People seem to focus on a very few priests who have not done this....the majority follow this vow...as it is a sacred vow. Media love to blow it out of proportion........
Also I remember a priest saying why its important to remain single in that how can you devote your life to other people if you have a family/wife to look after as well.....priests spend time with people, sick, people with terminal illnesses, they get called out at all hours and in a married situation this could cause stress.....anyway the policy of the catholic church is that they remain celebate.......

Yes, this is true it is no where in the bible and catholics do it becuase they think it is "holding strong to their religion" however, alot of cases came out about priests molesting young children. We are indeed humans and a lifetime vow of celibacy for life is not something we can do. Only Jesus Christ becuase he is God.I think it is sad that tehy also make their congregation confess to the humans and the huimans have the "right" to make them pray thousands of prayers. No where in the bible does it say this. You are forgiven because of christ and what he has done. Ephesians 2 8:9 It is by grace you are saved THROUGH Faith, Not by your good works so that no man may boast.

The apostle Peter was married.
It makes you wonder where the Popes get their examples from.
(Mark 1:30) Now Simon’s mother-in-law was lying down sick with a fever, and they at once told him about her.

Simon=Peter
mother in law= wife's mother.
