So this all powerful God........... Couldn't just send an angel to put the Pharaoh in a head lock so he would "let his people go" No he had to kill all those innocent people and then just for kicks....... the Pharaoh lived.

Do you really expect me to worship this illogical tyrant being ?

Something I am puzzled about, after hearing someone tell me not to bother with Mormon visitors, they are after rich people, usually the Asians, and try to get them to convert, then write a new will signing everything over to the Mormon Churches, and for WHAT purpose?

I believe in God, and although I do not strongly identify with the a particular faith I pray and meditate often. Despite this, I feel completely abandoned during extremely painful times. How does one use spirituality as a coping method during painful times?

I always seem to have this. I don't really ever bring it up. Like fears of martial law and war and being separated from family and friends. Like things will only be peaceful for so long... I guess there is so much I am grateful for and I fear at times I will lose it, is another part of this.. The end of the world stuff is more underlying.

Assuming there is a God (I'm using this universally, can be gods, nature, whatever), and we have an innate desire to connect with this God, and that the only thing we had were our own experiences,

What do you think your relationship with God would be like? Do you think you'd think of God as a man, or a women, or either?
Would you think of God as human like, with human emotions?
Do you think you'd be able to have a relationship with God without a sacred text, or a spiritual leader?

I think these are good questions to ask yourself, to put things in perspective. I'm curious to hear your answers. If you think thought experaments are dumb, then well, cut and paste a page and a half telling me so :)
