Cookies are small files that contain a small amount of data about your Internet activities on certain websites, such as Yahoo, MSN, Amazon and others. They allow these websites to keep you logged in even when you change the web page, and keep your shopping cart full of what you have ordered. They can also allow certain websites to track your internet activity to third-party sites, they also take up space on your computer, and for that reason they should be deleted periodically along with all temporary Internet files. Deleting cookies, temporary Internet files and History, can sometimes resolve Internet connection issues, speed issues, or website sign in issues.

Cookies allow programmers to store bits of information on your computer after you visit a website. This can be used for good and for bad.
An example of the good is that you don't have to remember your user ID the next time you visit a website because it's stored in a cookie (data) on your hard disk.
An example the bad is that it can be used as a tracking counter where everytime you visit a website the counter increases, thus allowing a developer to keep track of your webpage visits, even though this can be done with other logging programs on the server.
Some web programming languages such as Microsoft ASP or ASP.NET store session or viewstate information in cookies. This is necessary to keep a session active when you log onto a website and navigate from page to page.
I hope this did not confuse you...
I delete my cookies most of the time because sometimes it interferes with page caching and memory. It's good practice to delete your web cache every now and then.

I'm not a computer wizard, but as I understand, cookies is a record of every Internet site you have visited - maybe more than sites - and take up space slowing down your computer and clogging up the works. Deleting them frees space and could keep others from finding out what sites you visit.

A cookie is small text file of information that certain Web sites attach to a user's hard drive while the user is browsing the Web site. It can contain information such as user ID, user preferences, archive shopping cart information.
In many cases, undesirable sites can place cookies on your harddrive to track what you're doing online, things like your purchasing habits, or your web browsing habits. Deleting cookies helps to avoid allowing third parties to do this.

Cookies help websites recognize your computer.
Having too many though takes memory, and can slow your computer down.
Clean them out and keep it running smoothly and at a faster speed.

To make room for more cookies. Just kidding!
Cookies are picked up as you are surfing to different sites.
They are little tracking devices to help others view your web surfing habits.
Erasing them is like sweeping the dust off your floor. It gets rid of them and then more come and then you get rid of them and more come and so on and so on.

Cookies represent your dirty past. Every time you clear your cookies, you clear your conscience... until the FBI decides to run a scan of your hard drive.

lets say cookies represent sin.
if cookies add up on your computer, your computer does not run efficiently and may even shut down. its the same with sin, if we hold onto our sin, and don't ask for forgiveness, we don't run efficiently and may even die(spiritually speaking).
so delete your cookies and ask for forgiveness for you sins.
your computer will run good and god will hold you in his strong arms and show you where he wants you to go on this journey.
metaphorically speaking....lol
peace,
lily
