I don't usually answer when there are so many all ready. Answerer's all seem to have same theme, and some condemn. There is a book on that subject, "Why bad things happen to good people". The gist is, if God inter veined then that rapist would not have the free will to kill and rape. If we didn't have that free will to do bad or good then we would just be robots. God doesn't want robots worshiping him. That little girls parents wouldn't lobby to change the law to protect the innocents, etc.....

I can tell from your attitude that you do not believe that there is a God, so let us for the sake of argument assume that there is no God. If you are aware that "a little girl has been raped and will be murdered," what are YOU doing to defend that little girl?

First, God needs no defending.
Second, God has nothing to do with sin.
Third, the man that done the raping and murdering is the one to blame.
Fourth, you cannot blame God for the sins that man commits.

God isn't the one raping her. The rapist is an idiot who doesn't truly believe in God. A man who has lost faith in a loving God. Tell that rapist that he needs to stop, NOW, right this second.....and ask God for forgiveness.
If the little girl dies, then God will take her up in his loving arms and lead her to her eternal home, where she will find peace and rest.

It is not God who rapes and murders. He has given humans free choice. We chose to do bad things. Those who rape and murder will be accountable for their actions before God one day and He will judge them accordingly. As for the victims of these crimes, it is up to the rest of us to love them and help them heal. And God can bring great things out of these terrible events. Sometimes going through difficult situations help us come closer to God. (and yes sometimes they do not)

That's easy....Who is raping and murdering that little girl? Is it God? I think not. How about putting the blame where it belongs and start acknowledging the fact that it is about time man accepts responsibility for turning his back on his creator.

Have you ever had a dream? Well what most people see and hear is the dream of God. God is dreaming everything, when a person begins to wake up they start to realise this, as you can see by your question it has a fail-safe, if you really want to wake up you will search for the truth, as you have begun by asking this question. ~ : )

If you think you're going to get a convincing answer on this site, I think you're mistaken.

If you're serious about this question, you should try asking people who've thought deeply about it.

For example, perhaps you could read The Problem of Pain by C.S. Lewis, or Deliver Us From Evil by Ravi Zacharias

good luck!

Satan put God to the test, and God let satan have run of the world. So in this world, which is satan's world, yes. bad things happen. Satan has not yet proved that his way, or any human system is better than obeying God's law.
