The bible says that God will have His angels in charge over us to keep us in all our ways ... but nowhere in the bible does it teach we each have an angel "assigned" to us.

Well to find the answer to your question the best place is to look in the scriptures. Understand though that angels have a purpose. they are servants and messengers of God,(Genisis 32:1) they are protectors,Matthew 18:10 and they are also fallen angels(demons)(Mark 1:23) What you consider gaurdian angels as you mentioned, I would believe that all angels serve a "gaurdian purpose" another interesting note is that angels can take on human form. (Genisis 19:1-3)and Hebrews 13:2) fact or fable? let people believe what they want. I for one trust the word of God.

Matthew 18:10 states, "See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven." In the context, "these little ones" could either apply to those who believe in Him (v. 6) or it could refer to the little children (vv. 3-5). This is the key passage when the discussion of guardian angels comes up. There is no doubt that good angels help protect (Daniel 6:20-23; 2 Kings 6:13-17), reveal information (Acts 7:52-53; Luke 1:11-20), guide (Matthew 1:20-21; Acts 8:26), provide for (Genesis 21-17-20; 1 Kings 19:5-7), and minister to believers in general (Hebrews 1:14). There are so many more instances of these in Scripture.

The question that is difficult to answer is whether each person or each believer has an angel assigned to him/her. In the Old Testament, the nation of Israel had the archangel (Michael) assigned to it (Daniel 10:21; 12:1), but you do not have anywhere in Scripture where it states that an angel was "assigned" to an individual (they were sometimes sent to individuals on different instances but no mention of "permanent" assignment is given).

There are real Angels out there, it will be time before you actually see something that was the work of the Angels. Like they pour visions in your dreams, or you find pennies on the floor for no reason, it's someone saying hello, even a bird's feather on the sidewalk, the sign that an Angel was listening to your rants/ frustrations how or why is this plm this or that way/ and your prayers..........

To each and everyone else has their Angels, some have two, some have four...

:-)

They're real, trust me, I had an encounter I'll never forget:

During a military career that I'd sometimes like to forget I was in a less than hospitable location. Early in the morning, around 5:00, just before dawn, as I was comfortably snuggled in warm blankets a voice said "Get up".

Opening my eyes I saw my comrade in the other bed still asleep and as I was warm in the bed and it was -20C outside I decided to go back to sleep.

"GET UP NOW" was the message in a very authoritative voice. There was enough light in the room to see shapes but no colors and I saw the outline of a figure. I was more perturbed than anything at the thought of getting up in the cold, especially since I was very tired from the previous day.

I then heard "David, get up and get out now!" and about that time I heard jets flying overhead. That wasn't exactly a strange sound to me but the explosions in the distance were new -especially when they started getting closer to our location.

I hurriedly dressed not wanting to die in my underwear, grabbed my roommate's sheets and got him up. I grabbed our gear and as we were exiting the house where we were staying was hit and destroyed.

Had I not received a message from what I now know was a guardian angel I wouldn't be typing this story to you.

To the skeptics: You weren't there, I was and I know what I saw and heard!

God is not the kind that will leave us unguided in this jungle. Help is always available. All we have to do is call. Guardian angels are always with us, but this world has made us unlearn the skill to connect. We have developed the habit of hanging up the phone. They are unable to intervene because the line is always busy. It is up to us to relearn how to listen to them. Take it from 17hunter. That's true.

There is one problem though. We must change our mindset. "To see is to believe" is wrong, "to believe is to see is right." All the milestones that changed this world happened not because we saw them before. They happened because somebody believed it would or could happen.

It is true.

Once when I was very young, I was caught in a swamp after dark without a flashlight. I was really scared. I prayed for help. When people finally got to me they told a story that three men whom they did not know came to the front door of our house, and told my parents that I was lost in the woods, and gave my location.

Everybody said they had to be Angels. I believe it. I was deep in the swamp. How would they know it was me, or where my house was?

Guardian angels exist as the HOLY SPIRIT in the faithful. No "fable." Jesus said when he got to heaven he would SEND a "comforter" to his own to help them in "this" life.......
