It was in my hometown (of this I was sure), although nothing in the urban landscape was familiar- I just knew.

With a gang of other men I had escaped from a prison and was on the run from the guards through the town, I believe we were trying to make our way to a ship at the docks (although where I live is inland).

Most bizarrely I had had my throat cut, but was still alive and fully mobile; strangely the wound was vertical rather than horizontal. I remember having to try and keep my head still as we scrabbled to safety, otherwise the wound would open and I'd start bleeding heavily. This happened a few times and I nearly fainted but always recovered in the nick of time; the wound simply rehealed as long as I didn't move my head.

None of my accomplices seemed to want to help; the overall mood of the other men was jovial, as if we were already free- I was the same in between injuries, which seems odd.

The dream ended abruptly there...any interpretations?!

It seems that people go there just to show off their new clothes. Is there an unwritten law that says people have to wear their "sunday's best"?

Do you think that believing in a faith means that you need to play an active role in promoting your own beliefs.

If so, what lengths would you go to, to do this?

For example:
1. Would you travel to a 3rd World country and offer people food in return for their religious conversion.
2. Would you fight in a war to kill others who don't want to live the same way as life as you do.
3. Would you lie about the character of people of other faiths, in order to convince someone else that your way of life is correct.

Holy = Good
Bible = Book
Gospel = Good News
Sermon = Lesson
Minister = helper

These are all beautiful names for with profoundly simple meanings. Why do some people get them confused? Do you know how many people think gospel means song?

The Supernatural is by definition beyond the limitations of logic. Why not just admit that it's pure irrational faith that guides them without feeling defensive and creating long-winded arguments with people who have differing opinions.

Science tells us that a woman can last longer without food than a man...must be very strong creatures, these women!

The Bible tells us that when Adam was alone in the garden of Eden, he obeyed God but when he was with Eve in the same garden, he obeyed Eve......must be very powerful creatures too, these women!

The foregoing scientific finding and religious story implicitly say that ladies are more powerful than men...

I would say no because I am a man and dont believe in the Adam Eve story nor the findings by science( perhaps the reseacher was a lady and her findings were biased?.)..but in real life isnt that true....that women generally are more powerful than men?

I don't think anyone really appreciates my friendship, school seems to be going badly, I'm under too much stress, I'm sick of feeling like an outcast and I'm struggling to lose weight. While my friends have boyfriend after boyfriend, I haven't even had one, and I'm 17. I feel horrible right now, and don't think I can manage praying tonight. I know that there are about 4-5 billion people in the world worse off than me, but I can't help feeling sad.

Please make sure you understand what I'm asking. I am *not* asking if you think Christianity itself is a cult. I am asking if you have come across certain churches or groups of Christians who behaved in ways that were similar or the same to that of cults and cult members?

My goal with this is to help me seperate in my own mind this type of Christian from Christianity as a whole.

The reason I ask this is because I have experienced this and want to know if others have experienced the same. I don't get this feeling from Catholics. I really only get it from a very specific type of Christian/Church.
If you answer please answer the following- 1) Your own religion/belief system/idealogy.
2) yes or no to the question.
3) why you think yes/no , and/or your own experience with such a church/person.

Thanks in advance.

If I hide behind devil and steal the keys without notice and get out of hell's door, and get back on earth on the back of a flying wild pig..

can I say, "Yay"?
