my boyfriend of 2 years ran off when he heard that i was pregnant, my parents are both dead in a car crash last year, i'm going to school and am making barely enough money to cover my rent each month. I was a kid put up for adoption and look how horible i have turned out. i think i should just kill it.

I like to throw the cat amongst the pidgins more often then not. So here is my challenge for the Christians,

Create, using only what you know with absolutely no research, a convincing argument that another religion is the true religion. You may choose from Buddhism, Hindu or ancient Greek/Roman gods.

ANSWER ONLY IF YOU ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE!!!

P.S. This question follows on from one asked to Atheists.
This question is aimed to shake the complacency of people (one of the things that I hate most about our society at the moment). It is all too easy to sit back and say, I know everything or I am right and all others are wrong. This the reason why I ask this question, I am looking to see if there are any out there who will re-evaluate their beliefs by trying to prove the oppositions argument. This is called a crucible test, subject your own assumptions to the test and see what it left.

So please do not answer unless you accept the challenge, it will be of no point and a colossal waste of everyone’s time otherwise.

If a tree is perfect in each and every way, it would be impossible for that tree to bear bad fruit. Now, every Christian person says that God is a perfect being, that he is perfect and almighty in every which way. Now, How can a Perfect God create an imperfect being like us? Now some of you might say, "Well, we were perfect before Eve ate the fruit." Well, if we truly were perfect, Eve would've known not to eat the fruit, and since she's perfect, she never would've fell for the Devil's trickerys.

I have a cousin who is clairvoyant and some things she gets right & some things she doesn't. My question is where do you draw the line between psychic & disfunctional/mentally ill. She gives readings to people (spiritual guidance, not necessarily future prediction & she does have official proven counselling experience re counselling victims of crime for an organisation) for a living but hardly makes any money. She won't join the workforce in a regular job to make real money & makes silly excuses as to why. It's hard to say if she's just a bit flakey & unable to fit into society & handle people or whether she is just one of those alternative people. She says she has friends, but we suspect she spends most of her time alone at home. Her physical appearance is not good, she sometimes even wears stained, dirty clothes if she does visit you or if you visit her. She makes excuses if you invite her around to visit & pretends she's busy but it's not true. What do you think?

This board is so interesting to me and it always amazes me when people get upset saying they're sick of Christians trying to convert them or Christians themselves saying let them be don't try to convert them. Well i say you have a right to your opinion thats fine i respect that. But as Christians we are supossed to share the good news of the gospel aren't we. I don't think people should threaten others or say they will burn in hell. In everything we do it should be done in love. So for those of you who don't believe i ask you nicely just to think about why really? Deep down in your heart do you not feel a longing for something more? like something missing? If not good for you. If you do maybe you need Jesus in your life. I'm not trying to preach im just rambling its almost 2am guess i should get to bed. I'll just add most christians who talk about this stuff aren't trying to attack you, make you feel bad,guilty. they just want to share something special they have that you may not know

Did you know that spell = a prayer?

What do you do when you pray?
You focus your attention to God, and request things, right?

Do you know what you do when you spell craft?
You focus your attention to the universe ("God") and request things in return....although there are different elements used like candles (which are in churches), incense (which are in churches), even imagery! (which are in churches).

So tell me something.
After reading what I just said...how you can disagree with that?
Have you been paying too much attention to The Wizard of Oz, The Craft, or Charmed?
I suggest you do some reading instead of relying what you hear on T.V.
A spell is nothing more than a different form of prayer.

It can be chanting, spell casting, prayer, or even well wishing. I believe that a common goal willed by a large collective can bring the desired result.

Even atheists should admit there is something to the power of positive thinking, and it seems to be more effective in groups.

what are your thoughts on the subject?

For those who don't believe there's any truth to evolution:

How dare you continue to use electric lighting, computers, and automobiles? All of these things exist because of the work of scientists and engineers, the same people who UNANIMOUSLY say that evolution is indisputable. Even when science has gotten things wrong in the past, it's never gotten things COMPLETELY wrong. If science is completely wrong about evolution it will be the first time science has ever been completely wrong about anything since it came into existence in the 17th century.

If man freely chose to sin and evil now exists because of this free choice, could God have created a universe in which humans would not have abused their free will? Surely God could have created a number of different universes. Is there a possible world in which man would not have sinned? If so, why didn't God use his foreknowledge to see the world in which man did not sin and then choose to create that world? Or do you think a world without sin is a logical impossibility? Or do you think that the idea of free will is out to lunch?

I do believe they a "god or a high power" but not in the bible most b/c it judges too many people, caused deaths, gives you rules to live your life, and God didn't even write it.(warning- remerber have the right to love the bible- why can't not like it..so be nice. Let say, creationists are true, evolution is false. If that is so, then you're saying all the creatures on Earth today was still around millions of years ago.

If that is so, then why isn't there a 300 million year old panda fossil?

or a 450 million year old Llama fossil?
