Perhaps because there is something very wrong with a God Concept that has taken over 100 million lives and encourages the followers to ignore the continuing killing in the name of God. What are the chances of people ignoring the W.W. 2 Holocaust that extinguished 12 million lives? Understandably, not a chance.

I can only speak for myself... I like to know what the "other side" is preaching so I'm prepared. I like to keep my mind sharp by verbally sparring with with others with differing opinions. Sometimes, I just want to be obnoxious... but that's rare. :-)

For the same reason you have asked Atheists to give you their answers.
Why do you and others invite them to answer you if in the end their responses aren't in sync with your beliefs? If all you and others are going to do is...
A: Lecture them
B: Try to convert them
C: Disrespect their opinions
D: Preach to them of your own thoughts and opinions on the subject of religion.
What's the real point that you're looking for? Or going to give to them? I don't see one really. Other than old arguments that get nowhere.

I sincerely hope you are implying that there is a separate question of the same effect directed to Christians as well as every other religion because this practiced is NOT limited to one group alone.

What does that got to do with you?
Can't an Atheist have a religion too? The only common thing amongst atheist is we do not believe in god/gods ..... the rest are different.

I don't just come here for that.
But I will talk with Christians. I used to be a creationist bible basher and if reasonable non-Christians hadn't talked me down, I'd still be one. I owe it to the cosmos to return the favor.

To combat misconceptions about atheism and atheists.
To learn more about how a person who genuinely believes in God thinks.
To practice logical reasoning and debate skills.
And for a good laugh.
