Everything happens for a reason makes people feel better. and who knows maybe it is true. It maybe like the ripple effect. Fate is also something different to different people. To me fate is simply the end result of different decision making processes. Example you are traveling down a road it comes to a fork. You do not know which way to go, You flip a coin and go right. An hour later you break your leg. If you had went left would you have broken you leg? Some people would say it was fate that you broke your leg. When in actuality if was merely the actions you took that led to that conclusion.

Maybe because we are beings who act with intention, so we often find it hard (sometimes impossible) to imagine a lack of intention at the core of everything, to imagine a purposeless universe.
But.
If you take "reason" to mean "cause," then it seems obvious that everything happens for a reason--that everything has a cause. If the laws of nature are uniform throughout time and space (meaning that certain effects must always follow from certain causes), and if every moment is at the fore of an immensely long causal chain stretching back through time, then to say something is "fated," is simply to say that it was inevitable given all of the causes that preceded it. If everything has a cause--if there is no event that is truly random--then everything that happens is predetermined. I don't know that this is the case, but it seems likely to me. If it's true, I don't think it makes life any less wonderful.

Everything does happen for a reason. This morning you got up. There was a reason you got up. You didn't want to wet your bed. You went to the bathroom. Why? So you could pee in the toilet, I hope. This made you feel better. You got dressed today? Why? Maybe you went to work. Why? You do things for a reason. Why did you ask this question? You did it for a reason. We may not know what that reason is but you do.

"what goes around comes around"
for every good deed u do,a proportionately good thing will happen to u and the same applies to the bad things we do.
what happens to us now (the things that are beyond our cntrol such as getting injured from an earthquake OR winning a lottery) is the result of our past actions catching up with us.
this doesn't mean to say that we have no control over our lives-this means that we fashion our fate as we go along.

They probably get it from those inspirational quotes on TV. So cliche. But they probably follow it because it wouldn't be so logical that something happens for no reason.
Like if you end up with your best friend instead of the hottest guy at school, that's for a reason. Maybe the hottest guy at school is a big fatass jerk who would've raped you, ya know?
But it all depends if you believe the future is set or not.

fate
fate [fayt]
noun (plural fates)
1. force predetermining events: the force or principle believed to predetermine events
little knew what fate had in store for him
2. outcome: a consequence or final result
What was the fate of the mission?
3. destiny: something with decisive or far-reaching consequences that inevitably happens to somebody or something
felt it was her fate to marry him
4. disastrous consequence: a disastrous or ruinous outcome
Is this what you mean? or is it faith?
In real sense, there is no such fate because fate came from your own doings. You yourself make your own fate.

It's most likely because of the test that are done in our life's everyday from God. Most of the events that happen in our life's are to make us stronger in the lord. What ever happens in people's life's they know that for some reason or another it's for the better.

because some people are too weak to stand on their own beliefs. I personally believe that everything that happens is because of your actions.
