Hinduism is the oldest documented religion that is still in practice today. The keywords are "documented" and "still in practice today". Although there may have been other older religions, often times they were practiced in oral societies or they do not have an unbroken history of practice. Also, Hinduism does not have a central leader and contains many different beliefs and practices.
"... The Sanskrit word ric, which for euphonic reasons is changed to rig, means literally "praise". ... The Sanskrit word veda means literally "knowledge" or "wisdom". ... The Rig-Veda is the oldest book in the Sanskrit language, indeed in any Indo-European language. More than that, if we are correct, it is the oldest book in the world ... The fact that the Rig-Veda mentions a stellar configuration that corresponds to a date from 6000 B.C. to 7000 B.C. - the astronomical Ashvini era ..."

The Druid Priests of Ireland over 6,000 years ago.
See:
http://ucadia.org/frank/frank_history_stonehenge.htm
The originators are the "Divine Holly (Holy) Ones" from which the Holly Tree is named, the word Holy originates.
Through them flows the bloodlines of the most ancient and famous of all Kings and Prophets including the Kings of Ebla, of Ugarit, the Hyksos Egyptian Kings, the Kings of Jerusalem (via Princess Tamar, daughter of Zedekia) as well as Akhenaten (Moses) and the Grail itself.
It is because the Cuilleain (The Divine Holly Ones) were so powerful, one of the first major campaigns of genocide by the Christians was Ireland under Patrick. Later the Pope sold Ireland to the British who maintained its systematic destruction.
Yet for all the death, the lies about the druids being a younger religion, the lies about Irish culture, many thousands of people still carry these bloodlines in their veins.

Islam has got to be one of the earliest religions originating in Arabia. It was spread out through Africa in early 600 A.D. by merchants and nomads. Not sure if it's the oldest, but definitely one of them.

There is little information available regarding early religions in the history of civilization. During the times of Egyptian Culture, God was worshiped as a woman called Goddess. Prior to that people worshiped the Sun. Prior to that people worshiped nothing. Cavemen didn't pray.

Your question can't be answered, as superstition ("religion" in fluffy language,) began in prehistoric times. As there is no surviving, written evidence from then (thus "pre-historic,") we'll never know which is the oldest superstition in the world OR who the originators were.

Atheism is the oldest religion in the world. Because before there could've been a religion, there must've been no religion.

Well everybody Knows that Prophet Adam was the first man of the world. He was sent with the religion that says worship only one God. All the prophets brought the same message but somehow due to Satan the only religion of worshipping one true God started deviating. Finally one true religion spread into numerous religions and sects.
So the oldest religion of this world is to worship one God, that is also called submission to the will of God, which is called ISLAM
