And it is no worse than others so it ok. Or a disgusting vile sin which pollutes God air and endangers health is ok as long is there is not a passage in the Bible which speaks against it. Shame do you look to your Bible to justify all sin? Disgusting people. Vile and shameful smokers.

I have read enough of the bible to be considered dangerous but couldn't answer this one. My sister and brother inlaw ( die hard Pentecostals ) both claim my prayers won't be heard because I'm a sinner. If true how are they so sure they will go to heaven and I'm screwed? How will anyone go heaven if they are right?

Don't just say you are.. consider this:We all know that Jesus died to save the world because he "loves" us and wants to give us "salvation"... However, You are a sinner.. you're a disgrace... and the only thing that gives you meaning is the fact that God made you with some "respect and dignity"... Everything you are is because of God.. and now he's dead ( as person) because of you..Now, are you worth it?

I am doing an assignment on saints for religion and I was wondering if anyone knew of a saint that is or was a role model for all women. If you can also write why that would be appreciated but you don't have to :)

Ok, im no expert but.....

My soul is in my body, my body lives on Earth during my mortal days then when it dies my soul will rise up to Heaven (presumming I have been sin free enough for God's taste).

As I child we were taught that in Heaven you can do what you like to make you happy and experience eternal bliss

erm...hello? I have lived in my body all my days, so everything I enjoy requires my body....isn't that the whole point of me having it? If I could be happy as just a soul wouldn't God just have put me here as a spirit?

I cannot read without my eyes, I cannot talk without my mouth, I cannot listen without my ears. What am I supposed to do in Heaven that will give me eternal happiness?

This is a serious question first of all...
The followers of Mars, (Marte in Italian).. what were they called.
And I don't think it was Martians so lets get that out of the way first. So lets giggle a little and go.
Realy. Folowers of Christ: Christians, followers of Marte... please tell me it's not martians.

Or are they and other pagan deities symbols for something else? I have seen different responses referring to them, and I just want to know if pagans believe in these gods the way christians believe in God.

I have been answering questions here for about three months and I see a lot of hatred posted on here towards Christians. I know a lot of Christians are judgemental and that is wrong but we all fall short of the glory of God. I have never seen so much hatred. What is this world coming to. But I guess it is nothing new. In the Roman times before Constantine converted to Christianity, thousands were killed for their belief that Christ is the Savoir and Salvation of the world.

How's that for refusing to think for oneself?...it supports all my suspicions that some believers are too lazy and apathetic to even think for themselves.

The new testament say that "jesus came here NOT to demolish the law but to fulfill it."

The Definition of Fulfill.
TRANSITIVE VERB: 1. To bring into actuality; effect.

So does this mean we are still bound by the old covenant?

I know i already asked this but no christians answered :( I want to know your thoughts. so please forgive me for REposting.

"If there's no limbo and we're not going to revert to St. Augustine's teaching that unbaptized infants go to hell, we're left with only one option, namely, that everyone is born in the state of grace," said the Rev. Richard McBrien, professor of theology at the University of Notre Dame.

"Baptism does not exist to wipe away the "stain" of original sin, but to initiate one into the Church," he said in an e-mailed response

This is often quoted as a reason to be anti-gay, however, whilst I consider myself to be fairly well read I have not read any book or seen these laws written anywhere, so to the people who profess it is against the law of nature I would like to know where you came by this 'knowledge', and if you read the bible where is it stated specifically and not just a bigoted interpretation. Oh and whilst on the subject, how do you explain gay animals, they do exist.

I was reading about the gnostics, and they seemed to believe that the Creator was someone other than God, and he created the world just so he'd have something to reign over, and didn't really think it through. It makes sense to me. Does it make sense to you?

brought me a husband yet. I don't want to sound pessimistic, but I feel it very unlikely that I will ever get married, let alone have a family. There is such a shortage of christian men. How do I cope with the prospect of facing life as a single person?

Kinda hard to believe anything MAN has to say. I will sit back and watch all you Christians panic on this question. A book that was compile from 1200bc to 1200 ad according to Christian history, must be pretty fallible considering MAN, you know the guy with SIN, wrote it!

If GOD had written the bible himself and threw it down from heaven for us to read i could understand. But man? Get out of town Charlie Brown, you might as well tell me GOD invented (wrote) the INTERNET. I will be amazed at the thumbs down and the naysaying christians who read this and then spam religious quotes to prove its worth. Have fun and remember, if you havent heard it from GOD himself, its more than likely a lie.
