If you look at the link HP: http://bythebible.page.tl/Christians-Under-Law-Covenant-f-.htm

you'll get a full scriptural answer.

But, no Christians are not under the law covenant. That does not mean that God changed his mind about murder, etc. Christians are under the law of faith! This law has the royal laws as their primary laws under which all laws fall!

Luke 10:27-28 27And he answering said, `Thou shalt love the Lord thy God out of all thy heart, and out of all thy soul, and out of all thy strength, and out of all thy understanding, and thy neighbour as thyself. (YLT)

Romans 13:9-10 . 8Owe no man any thing, but to love one another. For he that loveth his neighbour, hath fulfilled the law. 9For Thou shalt not commit adultery: Thou shalt not kill: Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness: Thou shalt not covet: and if there be any other commandment, it is comprised in this word, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 10The love of our neighbour worketh no evil. Love therefore is the fulfilling of the law. (DRC)

The definition of fulfill also includes: to perform, as a duty; to satisfy, as a desire. If Jesus performed the law, (something we couldn't do), and satisfied it, (again, something we couldn't do), then since He did, we don't have to. Often we hear we are under grace, not the law. That means we can sin as much as we want. That's right. We have that kind of freedom in Christ. Because every sin is washed away, covered in His blood that was shed for us. But, we won't want to sin just because we can, if we are truly His. I like the words you used: "bound by the old covenant"! That is the exact correct term! If He made you free from sin, why would God desire for you to be bound by the law, or anything else? Whoever the Son of Man has set free is free indeed!

Hi.

We are not bound by the Old Law. The Old law, found obviously in the old testament was only set in place until God was to send a true sacrifice to atone for all sin with His blood once and for all; that sacrifice being Jesus Christ. If you'll notice all through the old testament the sacrifice was always an animal or blood of an animal.

Well, in the new testament, Jesus Christ became the lamb sacrificed, and it is now by His blood that we are saved.

The ten commandments are merely a moral guideline to live by, but they will not save your soul.

You must Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Confess Him as Lord and Saviour

Repent of your sins, (that means stop doing them), and ask Him to forgive you of those sins. Be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins. (Acts 2:38)

Ask Jesus into your heart, and He will come in and take over.

Little by little you will see a change in yourself. You won't want to do the sinful things you used to want to do.

The new covenant is spoken about first in the book of Jeremiah. The old covenant that God had established with His people required obedience to the Old Testament Mosaic law. Because the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), the law required that people performed rituals and sacrifices in order to please God and remain in His grace. The prophet Jeremiah predicted that there would be a time when God would make a new covenant with the nation of Israel.

"'The day will come,' says the Lord, 'when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah....But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day,' says the Lord. 'I will put my law in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people" (Jeremiah 31:31,33). Jesus Christ came to fulfill the law of Moses (Matthew 5:17) and create a new covenant between God and His people. The old covenant was written in stone, but the new covenant is written on our hearts, made possible only by faith in Christ, who shed His own blood to atone for the sins of the world. Luke 22:20 says, "After supper, [Jesus] took another cup of wine and said, 'This wine is the token of God's new covenant to save you – an agreement sealed with the blood I will pour out for you.'"

Now that we are under the new covenant, we are not bound by the law. We are now given the opportunity to receive salvation as a free gift, not as a reward for any of our good works (Ephesians 2:8-9). Through the life-giving Holy Spirit who lives in all believers (Romans 8:9-11), we can now share in the inheritance of Christ and enjoy a permanent, unbroken relationship with God. Hebrews 9:15 declares, “For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance – now that He has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.”

I personally believe that no we aren't bound to the old covenant because we do have grace. But on the other Hand the law (Levitical law) is what defines sin. So in the new testament where it states "Continue in sin that Grace may abound, G~d forbid" I feel that we should strive to follow the old Laws because they established what sin is and if we dont follow them then we are sinning. But you have to understand that to follow all 613 laws perfectly is impossible because some of them have to do with the temple and the temple was destroyed so that is where grace comes in. But I dont know if I answered your question at all Hopefully I helped some and didn't just ramble

We are not bound by it. The old covenant did not have the PERFECT sacrifice. Old testament Jews had to make sin offerings with an unblemished animal (based on income).
Mix this with trying to keep the commandments and you have an aggravated person.

When you accept Christ as Lord and Saviour, you are no longer under the "law" (10commandments). We are not saved by keeping these commandments, we are actually condemned.

So nowadays, instead of going to church every saturday (the jewish sabbath) with a bull in your hands to slaughter, we go on Sunday (because of the ressurrection) animal free, because our sacrifice was given on Calvary by Jesus Christ, the only true sacrifice that God will accept.

Confusing brother, but study it and you will see the sense that it makes!

It more likely means to bring to completion. The law was written to show mankind his sin and point toward the better covenant that was coming. We are no longer bound by the old covenant. The covenant could not save anyone because we could never follow it.

It is certainly sure that Jesus (Peace be upon him) was only sent to Jews people. and the reason he was sent was to preach the same message of Mosses. Both they were the messengers of God. They conveyed the same message from the same God.

In this regard I disagree with those who claim Jesus was god. Because we know Jesus's mother (Holy Merry) was just a human like us. the question comes then, how God (the Jesus) can be the son of a human. I hope you cannot answer this question unless u accept that Jesus was also a human like us. it is not wonder that he has no father. What about Adam, our father who had neither father nor Mather? both of them were created by the almighty God. who can make or create what he wishes from no where.

To give you very good answer, all messengers of God were sent with one define religion from the only God that we have to believe. Adam, Noah, Abraham, Lot, Isaak, Ismael, Moses Jesus and the last messenger Mohamed peace be upon them all had just conveyed one message and that was to worship the only God. the one who has no associates, the creator, the sustain er, the king of the here after.

In reality, there was only one messemger that was sent to all mankind. That was Mohamed Peace be upon. Dear, it is up to you now to look for the real bath that you are supposed to follow before death. Here after every one will be asked what he/she has done in this world and he/she will be rewarded accordingly. so please look for the truth before it is not too late.

Regarding the Mosaic law one publication states:

"It made transgressions manifest; it showed that the Israelites needed to be forgiven of their transgressions and that a greater sacrifice was required that could really atone for their sins (Ga 3:19)"

Jesus provded that sacrifice. All the sacrifices carried out under the law pointed to Jesus sacrifice. There is now no longer any need to offer sacrifices as instructed in the mosaic law.

The publication adds:

"Various aspects of the Law were shadows that represented greater things to come; these shadows helped righthearted Israelites to identify the Messiah, since they could see how he fulfilled these prophetic patterns (Heb 10:1; Col 2:17)"

In this way Jesus fulfilled the law.

Romans 10:4 says:
"For Christ is the end of the Law, so that everyone exercising faith may have righteousness"

Another book gives this explaination:

“CHRIST IS THE END OF THE LAW”

5 Jesus Christ, of course, was that promised Savior, even as the angel proclaimed at his birth. (Luke 2:8-14) So when Christ came and gave his perfect life as a sacrifice, what happened to the Law? It was removed. “We are no longer under a tutor,” Paul explained. (Galatians 3:25) The removal of the Law was a relief to the Israelites. It had shown them up as sinners, for all of them fell short of keeping that Law perfectly. “Christ by purchase released us from the curse of the Law,” Paul said. (Galatians 3:10-14) So the Bible also says: “Christ is the end of the Law.”—Romans 10:4; 6:14.

6 The Law actually served as a barrier or “wall” between the Israelites and other peoples who were not under it. By the sacrifice of his life, however, Christ “abolished . . . the Law of commandments consisting in decrees, that he might create the two peoples [Israelite and non-Israelite] in union with himself into one new man.” (Ephesians 2:11-18) Concerning the action that Jehovah God himself took toward the law of Moses, we read: “He kindly forgave us all our trespasses and blotted out the handwritten document against us, which consisted of decrees [including the Ten Commandments] and which was in opposition to us [because of condemning the Israelites as sinners]; and He has taken it out of the way by nailing it to the torture stake.” (Colossians 2:13, 14) So, with the perfect sacrifice of Christ, the Law was brought to an end.

Do not take the word literally. What he mean there is that one of the reasons why Jesus has come to the earth as man is in order to preach the teachings of God and to let people obey the law of God given to mankind.

Jesus will not erase any teachings of God in the bible (Old Testament) but can add more law of God to be followed strictly and those who will not follow will be committed to the lake of fire.

Fulfill has other meaning that suits to the context those are "accomplish, Perform, finish etc.,"

It means Jesus Performed the needs of those laws that were imposed on people through Moses.

Eating pork and other things depends on you if you feel like to eat them go ahead, I dont feel like to eat so I dont "DO EVERY THING TO THE GLORY OF THE GOD"

But the very important Law were fulfilled by Jesus so that we are not under law or its boundage.

be free.......... and free to chose God and His Son Jesus's way to live.

God Bless.
