I'm Christian. I've just answered my first question in Religion and Spirituality. I find the whole dynamic interesting but have no interest in furthering the conversation other then stating my own beliefs.

I'm sorry if Christians come here just to par with Atheists. I've been reading my Bible lately and find it funny that I got on to this section directly after reading. It talked about Jesus going back to Nazareth to spread His word but how they didn't believe. He didn't waste time trying to convince them. Therefore, I don't understand why some* Christians argue with people to get a point across.

You either 'get it' or you don't. It isn't something that people should be convinced of. I don't judge Atheists even though I don't agree.

I apologize if the Christians online have somehow altered your views on Christians every where. Trust me, we're not all like that!

EDIT--I didn't know or not. I just assumed because there are many Christians who are hypocrites and who do not live the way they should. Shoot, I don't even sometimes. That's what makes us [Christians] all sinners. I've known one too many Christians who believe they are the best thing in the world and are self-righteous. For the longest time I didn't even like most* Christians and that's not even based on this website! I just pray that some people have at least some hope for Christians and do not judge us merely because of a generalization.

I don't "spar" with Atheists. If someone asks me a valid question, whether that person is atheist or otherwise, I'll answer it to the best of my ability. But to engage in an endless debate which produces nothing, is a waste of my time and effort.

If I'm asked what I believe, I share it gladly. I will not be suckered into a useless debate, neither will I goad an atheist into such a debate.

Why should Atheist come to R &S and verbally spar with Christians who have deep faith and sprituality in God?

When an Atheist makes a post on a Religion and Spirituality board you know they are not real Athesit. They are showing there lack of faith in there own belief by even posting here. I think its funny to watch them squirm.

Guess it depends on how you look at it. I don't spar, I share my beliefs. If someone does not agree or accept what I have to share, I'm not offended personally. Ya see, it's not against me, so I can't take it personally. It's about My Lord and when Judgment comes for those who reject Him, He too will not spar with them, He will state simply that He doesn't know them. But He will not share His Heavenly home with strangers either. God bless

There's no point in verbally sparring with an Atheist.

No one was ever argued into believing in God.

However, if one has an honest question or says something that is not correct with respect to my religion, I will point that out.

Because it's fun to point out the holes in logic (on both the theist and atheist sides). Also, it's fun to argue persuasively.

I don't--I come to lighten the place up and occasionally battle other Christians when they start preaching hate
